Come strapped with cash. Personally, I believe it's worth it for the environment they offer, but, it's expensive. A good night would typically run you $80.00-$100.00.

The only place I've been to where I actually liked the corn bread. Usually I find cornbread too dry and crumbly, but this stuff was moist and even kind of sweet.

the yard bird chicken, coconut rice, pork loin, shrimps: all very good. We ordered some warm corn bread with vanilla ice cream for dessert. So good!

The food is truly global (as expected from a chef whose own background encompasses several continents), from Swedish meatballs and Ethiopian injera bread to Southern-style fried chicken and oxtails.

Awesome food, awesome service! We had the cornbread, oysters, dirty rice, duck liver, yard bird chicken and shrimp & grits. Everything was beyond great. And it was a plus to meet Marc Samuelsson!

One of my favorite places in the city for fried chicken. Stay for jazz at Ginny’s Supper Club, in the basement. I like that place very much.

Fried Yard Bird is amazing! Comes with delicious mash potatoes and gravy. Get ready to take a nap after all that.

Trendy but Overpriced. Great vibe & crowd but the food always disappoints. The cornbread is pretty amazing though. Save your money & just go for drinks @ the bar. For great soul food go to Melba's.

Soul food for white people, as evidence that there were 4x the number of whites than blacks--this ain't hardly soulfood, despite visibly having black staff. Corn bread good; apple cobbler--Awful.

The food is tasty but pretty heavy. The Brussels sprout side dish was the absolute best and the pumpkin soup was thick and hearty.

When the review was made by the NY Times, the bar was a hit and the food, not even mentioned. Understandably. You will exchange cards and numbers Harlemites are ho-hum on yardbird. Stick with apps.
