Lots of people with lots of first world problems. if you can afford to fly - you are better off than 95% of the world. The FREE wifi is slow when I am sitting in my massage chair.

If arriving after 9pm the airport (especially Terminal A) is deserted with most restaurants closed. Gordon Biersch next to Gate 11 in Terminal A is one of the only places open.
access Caltrain or Light Rail via the free airport shuttle. runs every 15-30 minutes. look for the bus labeled VTA Airport Flyer.
"Entertain us if you please, but please be gentle to the keys." I like the piano placed in the middle of the baggage claim and the people who play it.

Quick and efficient. This is an airport made for commuters and doesn't come with a lot of bells & whistles.

Tip: flightcaster.com figures out your incoming aircraft flight number and uses it to predict delays up to 6 hours in advance. More reliable than the airlines' sites!
Dunkin' Donuts, Terminal A pass Gate 7. They are open early and have lots of goodies.

Parking: Economy $15/day, closer to Terminal A, shuttle provided, allow for more time for other terminals. Close to Terminal B, Lot 4+5 $22/day; No shuttle in Lot 4. Lot 6 $30/day yes shuttle Lots 5+6

Rental cars are super close to the Southwest Airlines terminal. Easy airport to get in and out of
If you're so inclined, there's a meditation room right at the end of Concourse B (just before the connection to A)
Has to be the LEAST pedestrian-friendly airport of just about any airport I regularly fly from

Got soooo much work done while waiting for flight. With free wifi and plugs at every seat its impossible to be bored. Also, can't go wrong with a wine bar and pizza my heart!
Clean, modern, and convenient airport. Best way to fly into the SF area. Cheaper car rentals than SFO.
Arrive around 7:30 am - TSA will randomly assign you to TSA Pre - no shoes off or laptop out needed!
Smaller, easier to navigate than SFO, especially Southwest and American Airlines
Really convenient compared to SFO if you are in bay area but not SF. quick to get around..
Impressive. 4 TSA Desks compared to just 2 at a bigger airport of SFO. Good job San Jose to keep like lines short.
Look out for the seats with partitions... they have all your charging needs satisfied
SJC has a TSA precheck line! They just give you a scrap of paper to get into that line to the right of the main security line.
