Smith & Mills is one of my favorite places in the city. Better to go earlier in the evening (or on a weekend or on an off-night). Otherwise, the tiny spot is packed+loses charm

The ginger in the dark and stormy was so finely minced that I had chunks of ginger in my mouth after each sip which was not pleasant

Order a dark and stormy - they make it better than most. And if you're eating, try the the schnitzle and the salmon tar tar. Also cannot go wrong with a burger....

Solid drinks but only around 6 bar stools and maybe 10-15 table seats. Don't come here with a crowd.

The bathroom is gorgeous; antique, rustic, like a a secret garden. The mushroom and quinoa salad will make you never want to eat another kind of salad AGAIN.

Tiny but cute. Must use the bathroom/former elevator. Awesome factoid: the kitchen is made of two hotplates behind the bar and food looks impressive!
