- You can go 100% paperless here! Scan your Itinerary QR code to the check-in. They email or text your boarding pass to you. Show the attendants your mobile and they scan it there.
- There's a secret tunnel for staff use, but if you're sneaky enough you'll be first in line at security using it!
- Beautiful airport. Free WiFi. Good selection of food. Too bad most shops close at 8pm.

- NEXUS is your best friend here - US transborder customs in 5 minutes or less. Security in 3 minutes or less (you skip the entire line)
- Free wifi has always been the norm at airports. However YVR had it early. If your airport durst have free wifi. Speak up.
- One of my favourite airports. It's decently big but well laid out

- francis fontanillaJune 29, 2012Free wi fi! Only in YVR. I've been through different airports in the US and none can beat YVR on this. Not even Japan has free wi fi.
- If you are just coming inti Vancouver and have an iPhone, you may like the free iPhone app 'Dirty Spoon!'. It reveals health region reviews for any place serving food in Vancouver.
- Smoked salmon on toasted bagel at Skyway Sandwiches & salads in the US terminal is a great way to start a trip. Cheap, healthy, and tasty.

- US flight after 8:30pm? You depart out of the International Terminal and will go through customs upon arrival in the US.

- If you plan to pack a bottle of wine in your check in bag, make sure it's in a sealed bag and wrapped with layers of towel!
- Eric de KokFebruary 25, 2013They have new automated customs kiosks. Scan your Canadian passport or PR card , insert the claim card and away you go. Very slick.
- Passbook is the way to go for e-boarding paases. Going green is super easy!

- best airport on the continent by far.. EXCEPT worst baggage handlers perhaps in the world. average wait for luggage is 30+ minutes. i imagine the baggage handlers strive for YVR to fail. seems so.
