- Incredible Chinese food. Can't go wrong with any of the dishes.
- Love the atmosphere and excited to find soup dumplings on a midtown menu.
- Jen KDecember 4, 2014If your thinking about ordering the tofu&pulled pork.. Make sure you get some extra soy sauce. (A little dry)
- Emily WilsonSeptember 2, 2015Get a few orders of soup dumplings immediately upon getting seated--they take 10 minutes to come out
- Justin SofferDecember 23, 2016Order the cucumbers, scallion pancakes, sesame noodles. Everything was amazing.
- loubane abdelhadiFebruary 13, 2016this is my best chinese restaurant in new york
http://chinesefoodnearme.info - Ido RosenJanuary 16, 2016Ma po tofu is like eating potpourri, way too much Szechuan peppercorns. Spiced cumin lamb was good. Vegetable pot stickers arrived lukewarm.
- Misook JiJuly 20, 2013Yummy food. Great service. Opinion about the restaurant deco was a bit overrated in NY Times review. It's definitely not a typical Chinese restaurant atmosphere. But not that memorable ether.
- Travis RamseyDecember 3, 2014Good kungpow chicken but have them hold on the Pepercorns! It ruins the dish. Super intense and small and hard to avoid.
- Wilson ZhouJuly 30, 2013Every thing is slow, kitchen, service...cheap lunch but can't wait that long. And I'm not very impressed by their dishes, other Chinese restaurants deserve Michelin's star unless judge only know spice
- M. Silver AssociatesJanuary 24, 2012Offers a great long Chinese New Year traditional menu:
http://cafechinanyc.com/menu.html#newyeardishes - Esther MoonMay 4, 2012The Mabo tofu is awesome! Chungking chicken is ridiculously spicy only for the true lovers of spicy fiery food beware!
- Sichuan items are the focus so go for them. Lines can be long.
- Hayley McGuirlJanuary 2, 2014Try the fish and white bean soup, full of flavor and perfect for sharing!
- It's straightforward. Have the rabbit. Have the kung pao. Have the eggplant. Have the Mapo tofu. Smile.
- Isotope Forty-threeFebruary 11, 2013Excellent desserts as well.... But three chili chicken is the best... Moist and super tender.
- Coşku ÇobanoğluNovember 22, 2018Dumplings and dandan noodles are great.. tofu is way too 🌶 and greasy
- lucy elliottJune 14, 2012The Double cooked pork with smoked tofu. Just the right amount of spicy. Super tasty!
- Foxxy BSeptember 8, 2018Pass on Chungking chicken: oddly salty w/ no other flavor (certainly can’t taste chicken) & not that spicy (it has the highest spice rating). Place is probably overhyped; I’ll give it 1 more chance.
- I am not a big fan of Kung Pao Chicken, but their Kung Pao Chicken is so delish!!!!
- Tim DengAugust 14, 2018Really solid chinese food, but unfortunately I didn't think it met up to my hyped expectations.
- Brian OconnellApril 20, 2013Even the Caucasian waiters speak Chinese, and quite a lot of the non-Chinese diners too.
