Don't pay for Boingo wireless!! £10 for a day. The Servisair lounge has free WiFi (with better signal), food, drink and alcohol and is £15 for 2 hours. Better value if you must use internet.
Cheapest way to the town centre is the bus no. 35 from stand 21. Remember exact change. Fastest is bus no. 100 from stand 19. It has a ticket stand.
If you're going the LCY you can use the Fast Track lane.

Check out the planes. There is a really good selection on offer.
Short stay parking prices have risen since the BAA sell off. 1 week has gone from £50 to £75.
If you're a pilot of a commercial jet going to Edinburgh, this is a great place to land.

Passengers would really appreciate free wi-fi internet. Otherwise, you just feel you're in a tiny little airport from some tiny little town... And not edinburgh's. :-/
The cost to use fasttrack security is only £3. Well worth it during the summer holidays

often long queues at security in the morning as they don't open all security lanes so arrive early!
Take a picture if your flight is delayed. We'll make a collage by the end of the year :-)

Don't wear an airside pass when catching a flight as they aren't allowed to serve you alcohol with one. I learnt the hard way

Fast track security queue is often longer than the regular queue, save your money!

When Dropping Off make sure you have £1 and don't pay by card. You can only Drop Off in the Drop Off area
omarAugust 14, 2012Despite the cute name, EDI security is ruthless. They made us move our liquids into tiny bags, all for the security theatre of it. Realize security may be slow
There's a Costa and whsmith near gates 1a-c. Use to avoid the crowds- The new airport security (introduced in November 2014) is very slow. Expect long queues and frustated people 😔
Save time and travel to the airport naked, you'll only have to get dressed all over again after Security...
