My experience hasn't been so terrible here. I think that if you plan ahead and give yourself enough time to go through security and get to your gate you'll be good. Terminal 3 food joints are lame.
I feel sorry for anyone whose introduction to Los Angeles is LAX. Apparently the designers felt our airport should evoke the same feelings as our freeways.
Avoid the backscatter machines and opt for the pat down instead. During the pat down, groan with pleasure and ask the agent to help work through the knots in upper back.
I was only here for layover but the amount of walking I had to do to get to my connection flight was a little annoying. Plus a lot of construction going on.
Huge airport, it is important to be aware of the gates you have to go to. Staff are not very nice in general, and at the pizza place they are very rude to foreigners
Coffeelines in the morning are horrible!! Another note AA is totally messed up here checking in was retarded. And the escalator to security almost killed a group of people as the line stopped at top
People say this airport confuses them - those people are dumb. It's in a U shape with clearly defined airlines at each terminal, if you get lost here...I don't even know
