Worst International Airport and Immigration check-in in the USA. Allow yourself as much time as possible between connections. And get Rosetta Stone Spanish before you travel here.

Flying American out of Terminal D- they don't use the TSA pre-check line. Prepare for a 30min security line.
Next time try Ft Lauderdale Airport, less complicated and annoy than MIA

Ian HoughtonJuly 22, 2016Awful airport. You feel like you're not in America that's for sure. It's messy and not very clean. Make sure your layover is a small one!
There is no good places to eat or shopping... so dont arrive to early!
Airport has improved. More options to eat now. Take the skytrain (only operates on terminal D).
Wear flip flops through security check point trust me!

Doreen CJuly 15, 2012This has become the worst airport in the US. Save yourself the headache and fly into FLL (Forth Lauderdale) airport and drive to Miami. It will take you less time especially if renting a car!
NicoleMarch 7, 2010If you're coming or going from concourse E, DON'T take the "shortcut" through concourse D. This will take you at least 15 extra minutes to get to the main terminal.
