- I love this airport! While it may not have a lot of frills, arriving and departing from here is always a breeze. I also think EWR (over LGA) is much quicker to get to from west side Manhattan
- If you're flying from terminal B, eat at the pre-security food court next to gates 50-58. There's a nice place called Curritos worth checking out. The Famous Familiglia's eatery is pretty fresh too.
- Sri Himesh BobbiliSeptember 5, 2017Wow! Amazing! ... OTG has done a tremendous job in upgrading terminal C. It's one of the best domestic airport terminals to fly out of for sure. Looking forward to our next trip
- Sergey IlinOctober 3, 2018Quite regular North American airport: untidy, simple, str8 to the point. Try milkshake in diner in TB: it’s amazing.
- United terminal A closes TSA-precheck at 7pm. TSA Pre-check hours are 7am-7pm. So get to the gate before 7pm if you have pre-check. Clear works all day.Upvoted 6 days ago
- Victoria OrdemanApril 25, 2014There are plugs landside in terminal C by the bathrooms. Every seat is cushionless and has armrests. The AC is blasting out freezing air. Only plus, Tony(Anthony) the realy old janitor is mega nice.
- Shan OConnorDecember 22, 2011Eat at Champps and try the Blue Point beer from Long Island! Very nice blend of hops and barley! Great local beer! Thank you! I'm a fan!
- If you look like you travel often and are traveling alone, they'll often wave you through to express security. Pack light and wear slip on shoes. Have your ID ready before you reach the podium.
- Use the meditation / prayer room in terminal C after the security area. Go towards gate 120 the meditation room is between the group room young travelers club and L'occitane
- ARRIVE EARLY! @TSA agents here (especially the supervisors) are LAZY as pigs in slop. If theres a line or its moving slow youre GUARANTEED to see agents sitting back, relaxing or shooting the breeze!
- Wayne AndermanSeptember 24, 2018The international terminal is modernized very well. Good restaurants, lounges and amenities for long waits between flights out of the country.
- RosalieMarch 25, 2013Head over to Garden State Diner in terminal C for a damn decent meal. Great breakfast menu with healthy options... and Belgian waffle sundaes.
- AnthonyJuly 6, 2013If you get here early for a pick up best place to be is the 7-11 by the rentals car lot. Buy something small and chill without worries of cops
- Eat at SMASH BURGER! No, seriously abandon the Mc Donald's line, now. Male the trek down to the C-130's and don't forget to add an order of the rosemary garlic fries (SMASH FRIES)
- Part of NYC airports, 20min away from Manhattan. There could be very long passport lines. There is free shuttles from/to hotels around the airport. It is not too big, just a few DutyFree area.
- there's a Wendy's and Dunkin' tucked away in terminal C by gate C110.. sadly, it's the best food option in that wing
- Incredibly busy airport. Come prepared and everyone will have a better experience!
- Nic OdemusJuly 17, 2014We have the best deal for SNAP - Secure #Newark #Airport #Parking. Why leave your car outside when you can valet park indoors for just $8.99/day? Reserve a spot now at www.letsgoparking.com
- There's a great store to buy kids toys on the second floor...reasonably priced. Also you can make an easy connection from the airport to NYC by train.
- Chris MooreSeptember 8, 2018Terminal C is the newest as of late 2018. They are about to start on a big upgrade of B next. If you are taking the airtrain give yourself a ton of time. The thing is laughably small.
- JD MaloneSeptember 9, 2017Much easier than flying out of JFK. If it's your first time here just breathe and make sure to have plenty of time to get between your connecting flights.
- It’s huge, security is normally slow with long lines. Terminal C is normally quick despite long lines. Food in C is not great despite recent cosmetic refresh. Spent too much on iPads & not good food.
- The new Terminal A is very nice but be prepared fo walk. It’s big! Hopefully the train stop will be built soon. For now take the shuttle or walk.
- City Food ToursMarch 20, 2012Whether u r a local or visitor there's plenty 2 do in the Big Apple! Consider City Food Tours 4 a fun & filling way 2 explore. If ur stuck at EWR, head to Terminal C for some real NY Flavor!
- If you are used to the speed of airports abroad, be prepared to spend record time waiting for your luggage to reach the right belt after you have cleared immigration check.
- If you’re in the United terminal (C) and have a United credit card, you get a discount (and the occasional surprise free meal) at any of the food vendors after security.
- Ami H.August 31, 2016Sizable airport but pretty easy to navigate. Security scanners are a bit sassy (lippy) but they keep things moving. Ok charging stations. Boingo wifi is rubbish. 30 min free, wtf? 6 hour layover, Mr.!
- Maria VHApril 30, 2023Great Dunkin Donuts snacks near the luggage carousel, and nice seats by the big NJ letters waiting area. Restrooms close by. Nice clean facilities.
- Catia DaSilvaSeptember 30, 2018If you are traveling with your dog, it’s great airport to stop. They have dogs reliefs area.

- The New York CosmosJanuary 7, 2014Before taking off for a regular season match in Edmonton, the boys from New Jersey's TSF Academy found the Cosmos and landed a great team picture w/the pro team. You never know who you'll find @ EWR.
- Fly into here for both NY and NJ and avoid the long queues at JFK as well as the crazy design of LGA. Also cheaper fares to boot at times!
- Leanna D.October 27, 2013If you want food (especially sitting down food) stay in C unless you're sure you want the Earl of Sandwich. EoS is really good, but it and a coffee place and a news kiosk are all that's here.
- Once one of my most hated airports, EWR is improving significantly every year. Still disorganized (shuttling between gates 😲), but less claustrophobic and nicer decor. Kudos on all the hard work.
- Miguel Montero BelloNovember 10, 2010Welcome to Newark Airport! Don't forget to check in on Foursquare from the plane, and gate as well. Trains, buses, planes, & boats are all valid Foursquare venues that you can become the mayor of!
- The information people in the red jackets throughout the airport are super helpful! Thank you!
- Teresa TullioSeptember 6, 2012The Garden State Diner is a gem for the weary traveler. Eggs sausage home fries toast for the same price as a yogurt! Great coffee too.
- The TSA is very professional and friendly here. It's a refreshing change from most airports.
- James H.January 18, 2016We checked in at United and were surprised at how smooth and pleasant it was. There were no big lines and the new food court has eatable food. Nice.
- Airport in full swing. United Club is slim pickings. Cereal, canned fruit, Chobani yogurt, coffee, hardboiled eggs that’s it
- Heading to Philly? 3 options: 1) Amtrak (needs advance booking & $$$ close-in) - 1hr, 2) NJT to Trenton ($20.50) & transfer to SEPTA ($9.25) - 2hrs, 3) NJT to Trenton & Uber to Philly ($40++) - 1.5hrs
- Security is unpredictable. Get there extra early to be safe! Even if you have TSA pre-check, you must take your laptop out of the bag (B Terminal).
- In use the Wally Park lot just off the airport. Valet parking and a fast shuttle right to the terminal gate ends up being faster than the AirTran. Check it out.

- Scott GaleOctober 20, 2012Best tip I can give is don't try and connect through here. But, since you already have, get to an airport club quick :)
- Good alternative for those that live in the west side of Manhattan. Train to/from NY Penn Station is convenient though it can be slow late at night
- Why is this place always so chaotic? Everyone always seems like they’re not sure what’s going on. A little unsettling.
