- If you’re in the United terminal (C) and have a United credit card, you get a discount (and the occasional surprise free meal) at any of the food vendors after security.
- The people traffic flows are all jacked during construction, but every single employee I interacted with was friendly and gracious.
- Paul TroupeAugust 16, 2014Long security lines. If you are going to the city, pay the extra money. If there's any sort of weather, it can be a pain to get to this airport quickly and efficiently
- A pain in the neck to get to from the city. Always traffic. And often long lines even in TSA pre check.
- Nic OdemusJuly 17, 2014We have the best deal for SNAP - Secure #Newark #Airport #Parking. Why leave your car outside when you can valet park indoors for just $8.99/day? Reserve a spot now at www.letsgoparking.com

- SkyMallSeptember 17, 2010For one of the best steaks in all of New Jersey, stop by Gallagher’s Steak House near gate C120 at Terminal C. There’s a cool storefront refrigerator showing the steaks being “dry aged”.
- If you want a decent IPA you have to go to Golden State Diner near gate 80/81. They have Sierra Nevada and Dogfish head.
- In use the Wally Park lot just off the airport. Valet parking and a fast shuttle right to the terminal gate ends up being faster than the AirTran. Check it out.
- E FDecember 28, 2013US Airways flights can be confusing. THERE ARE MULTIPLE "TERMINAL A" SECTIONS. Be careful-- not all screens are up to date since the new merger. Ask for help!!
- The new Terminal A is very nice but be prepared fo walk. It’s big! Hopefully the train stop will be built soon. For now take the shuttle or walk.

- 7 eleven at the gulf gaz station best place to hang out while waiting to pick up your family lovers or friends from whatever terminals there are at when they call you!!!!
- Sonia SMarch 28, 2018A beautiful modern airport with more than enough charging stations and iPads to keep you entertained.
- Terminal A security checkpoint can be a little disorganized. Come early and avoid the alternative line they direct you to that is behind the first one... you can never guess how long the line will be.
- No more paid WiFi - unlimited free Wi-Fi available here since Oct 2018! Hop onto _Free EWR WiFi. Speeds are fast!
- Terminal C is fab! Lots of food options including gluten free.
- WinnieNovember 25, 2014One of the best airports in the tri-state area. Many international flights and easy to get to
- Part of NYC airports, 20min away from Manhattan. There could be very long passport lines. There is free shuttles from/to hotels around the airport. It is not too big, just a few DutyFree area.
- An alternative to JFK/La Guardia outside of NYC. Well served by shuttle bus services to Port Authority in the city.
- Make sure you slow down as you approach and see what airline area it is for your parking/drop off/pick up... A, B or C or you'll have to exit and circle around again. ;)
- My preferred airport to get to NYC, especially the west side of Manhattan. Frequent train service to NY Penn Station (journey takes ~25min).
- DainisNovember 9, 2014Be sure to check from which particular terminal your airline flies. There are 3 of those, all connected by free air-train.
- The New York CosmosJanuary 7, 2014Before taking off for a regular season match in Edmonton, the boys from New Jersey's TSF Academy found the Cosmos and landed a great team picture w/the pro team. You never know who you'll find @ EWR.
- Make sure to arrive early in advance, security lines usually take long (or longer than other airports).
- Dheeraj VasishtaApril 20, 2014The amount of whiny, entitled crybaby "tips" here is really sad. It's an airport, it's clean (enough), and it does the job. Go back to Tampa or Phoenix for your usual sterile cookie-cutter crap.
- Scott D.July 8, 2014The Indian lady attendant or agent is really helpul, she assisted my elderly parents up to our gate. She made TSA really a breeze through for us.
- Scott GaleOctober 20, 2012Best tip I can give is don't try and connect through here. But, since you already have, get to an airport club quick :)
- Abbas MoosaviAugust 18, 2014Some terminals are fancier than others and using an app to check in definitely makes you a happy camper when coming here.
- Terminal C doesn’t have enough bathrooms but there’s more of a hidden one that is a good bet all the way at the end away from the entrance
- Jonathan JowMay 28, 2014It may not be always faster to do curbside checkin (at least for Southwest Airlines) because the employees are slower (also are contract workers). The inside line moves fairly rapidly.
- Regardless of when you arrive at Term A, you will surely discover the incompetence of TSA and your fellow travelers.
- Ramesh SeetharamanFebruary 4, 2018Quick and easy access to your gates but options are very limited in Terminal B for international flights - just 1 shop, 1 restaurant for 7 gates 51-57. Not the best international terminal
- The new A Terminal is nice and security is fast and efficient!
- Adam NowekJanuary 15, 2016Lots of flights fly parallel to Manhattan on approach, which is good for the view. Once you land, though, you're in hell.
- Super easy to get to. Security never has mad rush even on Monday mornings. Simple easy and quick. Love the airport.
- Cabs to Manhattan will run you around $115 if you're lucky. Take the train into Penn Station.
- Ning UDecember 4, 2016Nothing much here. Good if you want to catch the flight and dont want to waste time and avoid the crowd. Con: small duty free. Not many variety of products. No post office postbox.
- I'm here a lot. The transportation station to other gates, from C is at Gate 71. If you are mobility challenged, going up the stairs at Terminal A can be difficult. Small elevator or lots of stairs.
- FlightCenter.comJanuary 3, 2012TSA TIP #1: Before getting to the screening check points clean out your clothing pockets as well as any metals/jewelry etcetera and put them into your carryon bags (or jacket pockets) ahead of time.
- FlightCenter.comJanuary 3, 2012TSA TIP #5 Once through the x-ray machines take your belongings (trays) off the belts & get re-packed & dressed in the areas designated for this rather than holding up the lines at the x-ray machines.
- Matthew M.June 21, 2016Plenty of places to eat and drink. A little odd to see a tablet at literally every seat in all dining areas.
- Big difference beyond security between terminal A and terminal C. At the security for terminal A should be a sign "food choices dismal beyond this point"
- FlightCenter.comJanuary 3, 2012TSA TIP #4 When loading your belongings onto the x-ray belts load them in an order to help expedite at the other end. THINK, (a) suit case first, (b) laptop bags/purse, & (c) your shoe & belts tray.
