- Jake SmithMay 19, 2014Eat before going through security if you're flying out of Terminal A. There are very few options.
- BlakMarigoldPro StudioMay 30, 2012Always fly first class so you can get on and get the hell off first
- You can upgrade to first class for just $90 for AA flights at the electronic check-in kiosk.
- DCA is basically inside Washington DC, so allow plenty of time to get to/fro. DCA is much more convenient than Dulles, which is in Virginia about 45+ minutes from city center.
- If you’re in Terminal A, eat before you go - the food service situation is strange & inefficient.
- Travel with your own hotspot! Verizon MiFi or 4G LTE is the way to go!
- Make sure you grab a window seat to take advantage of the fabulous views from DCA.
- Gate 35A is in Terminal C (makes no sense). Landed in terminal B and couldn't figure out where to go to catch my connection.
- The TurtleFebruary 7, 2022Surprised no one has accidentally driven over the statue of that old doof yet.
- The easiest airport in the US to get in and out of named after the greatest President.
- I'm a local and always heard it called Reagan National. Don't worry tourists :)
- Patrick Le FlochNovember 9, 2013Tsa precheck is nice. Security just like in the pre hysterical days.
- Most Air Canada and Jazz flights are still flying from ancient A terminal. B is much renovated.
- Come for your flight, stay for the complimentary TSA massage or photography package.
- Chilly AdelieMarch 24, 2012If you are flying in from AirTran or Suncountry, be prepare to walk really far for the metro
- Matt SchaarJuly 5, 2011Einstein's in Terminal B: friendly, fast, modestly priced. Frequent flyer approved!
- Fast, free WiFi. A far cry from the spotty, slow service of just a few months ago.
- Got "time" in your layover? Hop a cab to Crystal City or subway (we call Metro) to Pentagon City Mall
- Us Air has a separate, staffed check in counter for travelers coming in through the metro door. Cool!
- Anthony StanyerDecember 5, 2014This airport as a lot of options when you need to change to a different airline.
- It's me!January 15, 2012Gate 35A is miserable...there's a flight every 10 minutes and you have to take a shuttle to the plane on the tarmac. Plan to leave late.
- Dyna PhotoJuly 28, 2011Try not to fly out of dca during hot temperature days the A/c is broke. And watch out for rats and roaches. I have a friend who works there. She says they have pest problem. I wouldn't eat at the dca.
- Ranch 1 has great food! The lite breakfast wrap rocks, and tenders are made fresh daily!
- Check out the walkway between terminals for the historic main terminal
- Make sure you have cash for cabs. Reagan cab service is third world. Don't expect them to take a credit card. So embarrassing.
- Daniel BrumMay 25, 2012Gov should spend some money and renovate this place - it's circa 1955 in the old terminal where Air Canada is.
- Jessi VideAugust 20, 2011If you're sleeping overnight in the airport look for the guy that's handing out blankets. It gets pretty cold!
- Pierce Graham-JonesJanuary 14, 2012Best airport in the country. I can get off the plane and be home in 15 minutes.
- If u have medical equipment/first aid bag it doesn't count toward your 2 carryon items & u don't have to check it... Sunscreen doesn't count as first aid though...
- Jake MercurioOctober 24, 2011Are you bored enough to check in on the Tarmac? Remember to pop your Xanax or Ambien!
