Just got my hands swabbed for potential explosives. Don't be alarmed if a TSA agent rubs what looks like a plastic lint brush across your palms. This is now "normal."
Unbelievable! We don't have a gate because supposedly my flight was cancelled in Chicago so they didn't know we were coming?? Crazy...we really are much more secure after 9/11 aren't we?? Crazy....
Its really cold right now (Dec. 2010) If flying US Airways from RDU, have a coat. You'll be bused to the terminal.
Bring your own wifi because the airport, boingo and AT&T absolutely suck.
Try the Einstein Bros Winter Blend Coffee (Terminal B).
If you fly UA, there's little F&B or anything else like places to sit after you get to gates. The worst gates at DCA.

it amuses me how liberals can't stand to call Reagan National by it's name. never met a conservative who refused to call JFK airport by it's name.

Check into Nancy Reagan Airport instead. Thays way more fun!

Terminal A is small but with only 5 gates, the security line is never an issue! Fly Airtran and you avoid long waits.
