- Commuter terminal blows...get here early to avoid long lines for all the short flights leaving here. You ll almost spend more time to check in and take your flight than just to drive...enjoy
- The new coffee place inside security at the southwest terminal is secretly a PANNIKIN (yum!) even though the sign says something else... Shhh!
- Make sure when flying with checked luggage that you arrive at least 90 minutes prior to you scheduled departure time and if your too early take a break at an Airline's Lounge xx

- JonathanSeptember 18, 2016Getting a rental car at this airport is a pain. They shuttle you to a rental car area that is pretty far away and will add significant time to your travel.

- Terminal 1 is SW land. Be prepared for lots of tourists - give yourself time to get through security. They are trying to put some more food options in there so that is good!!

- Make sure to grab some coffee at Pete’s because the Starbucks line will most likely be too long!

- Eddy LukovicJanuary 30, 2012Such great nightlife in San Diego. Go on the San Diego Pub Crawler, downtown pub crawl. Best way to see the city!
- If you're flying to LAX your flight WILL be departing from the commuter terminal. It's a LONG walk from the main terminal to the commuter so keep that in mind....
- While under construction it is worth noting that only Terminal 1 at SAN can make LAX look like a palace. Stop at a restaurant or bar before arriving.
- Chargers everywhere! Stone brewing, tons of space... This is the model of what an airport should be!
- In terminal 1, get food at The Counter, but drink at Bankers Hill Bar. Although Bankers Hill restaurant is amazing, the airport version is not so great when it comes to food.
- Shoe shine gent between Gates 20-40 is great!
- Tyler BrownMarch 17, 2013Real laid back I'd recommend flyimg into and out of there instead of lax. Only a 2 hour drive but not dealing with inner city traffic and the 405 is worth it to me

- If you buy a bottled beer at Stone Brewing Co. In Terminal 2 you can take it with you on board!
