- Small airport, considering it has international purposes. Currently being superficially renovated; I dont think it'll expand.

- Free wi-fi, though it's a little bit slow. The food at Brioche Dorée is expensive but really delicious. Treat yo'self.
- Love the improved Terminal 2 with outlets at pretty much every chair. Terminal 1 (specifically Southwest gates) need to do the same.
- If you're checking in the Alaska Airlines gate for departures, make sure that your flight will be departing soon. Not many things to do once you pass that security gate.

- Sad to see that my favorite overnight parking (PCH Economy Lot previously SAN PCH lot) is being replaced by a rental car terminal
- Scenic views of the water. Easy in and out. Nice airport
- Terminal 2 is wonderful. Terminal 1 might be the crappiest part of San Diego.
- Stone Brewing could use outlets or a charging station. Just saying.

- Check out Phil's BBQ in terminal 2. Local beers and great bbq.
- San Diego has the best mexican food!! n that's why I'm here tehehehehehehe ;P lovely airport with free wifi♡
- The new Term, 2 is soups pretty and much larger. Thus far security lines have remained short, even in the morning.
- Try Saffron for excellent Thai and healthy food. Just love the owner!
- Construction is on-going through spring/summer 2013. Give yourself extra time for delays and re-routes. You can access terminal 2 via terminal 1 in a pinch.
- For Terminal 2, use the security line near Virgin America. The far one near United is usually way too long and filled with international travelers. Both lines go to all gates in Terminal 2.

- oh, how I LOVE going through the line twice, and checking a bag in between....at least if you fly Southwest, you get up to two bags free!
- Looking for a place to sit? If the bar isn't open, take the seats off the counters. Viola. Seating and a place to work or eat.
- Busy place, long distances and some misleading gate/exit info. Make sure you pay attention or you’ll end up exiting airport in a flinch. Not many chain places to eat.
- They moved the Starbucks from inside the southwest terminal to where the check-in is and replaced it with some crappy airport "cafe."IOW if you want Starbucks you have to drink it before tsa now.

- When flying internationally out of SAN it is best to arrive at least three hours prior to scheduled departure time due to the lack of knowledge of some station agents on passport protocol
- Difficult to distinguish entry points for precheck & non-precheck. I often see folks turned away at the security podium b/c they were in the wrong line.

- Sibyl LindsayJune 24, 2010If you are stuck for the day there are two sky clubs, Delta and American. Both are $50 a day but go with Delta. Longer hours, friendly service, and 50% if you have certain Amex Cards.
- Flights to LAX are out of the commuter terminal. Be sure to double check before you get dropped off in the wrong spot!

- While parking is under construction, you can take one of many shuttles to alternative lots. Try the commuter terminal lot - it's always empty!
