Brasa is the casual restaurant from Alex Roberts ( a James Beard-wining chef). This is a place to go family style, and make sure to get the slow-roasted pork, the crispy yuca, and the collards.
Breakfast served quickly by friendly staff. Wash room beautifully designed. Sweet cafe style with fixed bench style tables...you won't bump into others getting in and out. Loved it.
Korean BBQ pizza, and the Umami Mama pizza (shrooms, taleggio, truffle, etc.) are must-gets. Go around the back into the alley for an amazing speakeasy (unmarked copper door with a neon light).
Dia y noche or Eggs Havana are superb. Guava cream empanadas - not always available, but unbelievable when they are. One of my very favorite restaurants in the state!
The heavenly hash in white , dark or milk chocolate is amazing. Try the homemade Heath bars too.
