Lunch at Walter is good. Dinner at Walter is good. Everything at Walter is good. If you're bored, Reuben and Matthew will stir your night up with delicious drinks.
Honestly, hold your fried chicken cravings for down the street...your better off with the delicious short rib burger. You know, after you've had a dozen fresh oysters or so.
Oysters are super-fresh, and the spicy garlic shrimp is tremendous-- has the consistency of lobster, and it arrives in a small heavy skillet with butter and garlic...
Gourmet food doesn’t have to be a $15 Gruyère cheese burger. If you want a Manhattan menu without NY prices, look to Walter Foods, the new kid on Grand St. Laid-back vibes, slinging drinks til 2 am.
Fine, but for the same price or less: Go around the corner (Lodge, St. Anselm, Miller's, Extra Fancy, etc.) for a better meal, less expensive, higher quality/sourced ingredients.
