- ShAugust 7, 2018The gates to the terminals are alot! Near the gates there are nice rest areas The shops & stores are many its like a mall! I didn’t like that it was an airport + train station it makes it very crowded

- Main airport in the Netherlands. Huge amount of shops and bars present so you won't get bored easily. Never lose sight of your belongings since pickpockets are near.
- In international terminal (E,F) find a nice sofa in the KMN internet center with wifi internet - upstairs just next to the food court

- Baggage and security's check is right at the end at the gate. So ensure you save enough time and not get stuck in the shoppibg areas.
- JenJanuary 22, 2017Great range of facilities for an airport, it is rather big though so allow plenty of time to get to your gate
- Long layover? Go upstairs near the giant food court near Concourse D. There's a hotel there that rents out shower cubicles for €10. Refreshing! 🚿🚿
- If you need to go to near Museumplein or Leidseplein area, don't take a train (which will take you to Central Station), but prefer the bus 197 instead which will take you directly to your destination.
- zAugust 5, 2016Non-eu immigration line is the slowest in the planet!!!! It's also a very big airport with tons of shops and nice cafes
- If you had a plane delay, they will scoot you right through passport control quickly. I love Dutch efficiency.

- organized, lots of places to eat, get a book, easy to find your way around...great airport
- Plus, there is a smoking room between gate H&G, opposite of gate E (next to immigration) gate D in cafe Murphey's and in the Schengen area also at gate D. And you don't have to buy anything!
- Make sure you can use the priority lane as it saves you a ton of time. #klm provides this option relatively fast with their frequent flyer program

- Nice & comfy "sunbeds" are located at the far end of the D-wing, a great place to take a nap or watch landing planes.
- Andrew LeckieApril 2, 2013Not a bad airport to be stuck in. Check out the Yotel for a place to sleep/shower/relax on longer stops. For shorter stays find the "Comfort Seating" area + bring your drinks from the bar.
- Ben GillespieNovember 29, 2017We somehow missed our flight even though we arrived well before the departure time. They refused to let us board so I recommend getting there extremely early.
- Instead of doing a couple extra flights to get higher status, get a Privilum pass. It’ll get you lots of the perks of having status with an airline for the cost of a single flight.
- Feeling stiff after a long flight? No worries, this airport will put you through about a month's worth of exercise going from gate to gate. And if you choose to go by moving walkway: mind your step.

- Big and clean. To get an Uber you need to get across the street and it might be a bit confusing but everyone will help you out.
- La Place by the entrance is always a good post-flight place for a coffee and some fresh food.

- Greg DiamondDecember 22, 2015There are many device charging stations throughout the airport, but they're frequently out of order. Look for the stands with red fire hoses, there's always a working 220v plug on the back.
- The Panorama balcony is only available BEFORE security - so don’t go looking for it during your layover.

- Large, but efficient airport. Not too short distances. Well organised. Quick documents check. Friendly staff, so over average.

- The train to Rotterdam only takes 25 minutes and rides 5/hour if you want to experience something different from Amsterdam
