Will PrestesAugust 23, 2012In case you need to check your connection flight after you land here, there are no flight boards. Look instead for rows of machines where you can scan your ticket and find out your gate number.

One of the stupidest airports in Europe. More like a shopping mall with an runway attachment. You have to go through scanner security AT the gate...
One of Europe’s best airports with routes to tonnes of destinations both near and far.
When you arrive with the train to the Airport it is really easy to go to the check in area.

If you have to get a boarding pass for joint KLM/Aeroflot flight: don't go to T5 (Aeroflot), they're useless. Can't even look a flight up by number! T4 are much better (KLM). Self check-in also works

If the weather is nice, go spend some time outside on the Airport Park Terrace at the entrance to gates D 59-87 on the second floor. Open from 07:00 to 20:00.

A very large airport, excellent facilities, and very helpful staff
Such a big airport. Takes an hour to walk from one side to another. Plus, a high chance of getting lost because of all these shops that recur a few times.
