- Decent airport. It’s a gamble to arrive 2-3 hours early because the baggage drop doesn’t always open within until about an hour before boarding. At least the Dunken Donuts is open at 2am

- You can get from the light rail to your gate in less than an hour if you're quick on an early morning.
- If you're a United flier, there's no club at this airport. Tough to find outlets and work space so grab one if you see it!
- The best place to eat is at The Burger Joint which has a wonderful tuna burger
- Your best bet from the airport is a cab for about $20 or hop on the Light Rail to Penn Station. Light rail trains leave every 30 minutes on Saturdays

- Stop brookstone in concourse d. Cool stuff ask for mike and ask about cool iphone projector and ipad accesories cool stuff. Ask for big mike
- Best kept secret @ BWI? Concourse A TSA screen on the lower level near bag claim. Zero, I mean ZERO line. Incredible.
- There can be ridiculously long lines for security so I recommend arriving at least and hour and a half to two hours early

- The airport is nice enough, but rental cars are offsite and renters are required to ride (at least sometimes) an extremely overcrowded shuttle bus to the rental facility.
- If you're flying Southwest, stop at the diner in the main food court for a milkshake. They are the best!
- Raquel ImesMarch 8, 2013The airport info was surprisingly extremely quick and helpful when I left my bag on the parking shuttle =/ but I got it back within about 20 mins!!
- Don't be dismayed by the size of the security line to D Terminal; it may look a mile long, but it goes surprisingly fast! Only took me 20 minutes.

- Pack efficiently! Make your laptop, toiletries, and shoes easy to remove so security keeps moving. Your fellow travelers will thank you!
- If you arrive Ian the evening and having a family member pick you, have them pick you up on the departure level. Much quicker.
- Silver Diner is the best breakfast stop at BWI by far. It's right near the entrance to the B gates.

- JoanmarieOctober 6, 2012If you're unfamiliar with the area, use Super Shuttle. Way cheaper than a cab, and they drop you off at the door of your destination. Downstairs by door 9.
- One of the easiest airports to fly in and out of. Security moves ok but if you go to the security line down a level near baggage claim there is hardly ever a wait. And they now have a Chipotle!
- Taylor PashkoffMarch 24, 2013If you're flying southwest, the terminal is great! The diner there is the best. You'll never be bored!
- Head to the Silver Diner and pick up a panini and a shake, you'll have them to you quick before your flight.
- Try the C TSA line if you're set to leave out of A, B, or C. You may be able to get through quicker.
- A very nice employee let us know there is a second security line downstairs. We were happy we took his advice because there were 0 people.

- When coming to BWI be prepared to wait a little while. Plan accordingly!!

- RexOctober 25, 2017Definitely consider this airport if you're flying into the DC area. There is only one Priority Pass lounge, which had been closed for a year and reopened under a new name.
