Turn your passport face down when you check in on the machines at American.
The agent at the Delta counter was the best and she was great with my family.

Go downstairs next to baggage claim to go through security- there is never a line!

There is a working outlet in baggage claim by the SmarteCarte kiosk by carousel 1.
If you fly Southwest or AiirTran there is a TSA screening area downstairs in baggage claim 1 EMPTY!

Artistic HustleNovember 20, 2010If you're departing from here (or any airport) don't bring carry-on water bottles or baby oil/mineral oil.
Park Express for $10. They pick you up at your car and drop you back to your car!
Matthew TaubFebruary 28, 2018No precheck at terminal A. Precheck at B is usually super crowded. Rental car center is super far away and it takes forever to show up. Overall this is a pretty crappy airport.
Have an express membership with your rental car company so you can avoid the lines in the rental car garage.
There are no good coffee options in the D concourse, so plan accordingly.
Concourse D men's room is second to none I enjoyed the low lighting and seat warmer!
GregAugust 16, 2011B terminal is freakin COOOLD in the summer! If you've got a layover longer than 30 minutes...pack a light jacket.
Jody JensenJanuary 15, 2012Food/beverage options on Terminal C are pretty meager. You have to wander Terminals A or B for good selection. Have to pick up Starbucks before going through C security. Ugh.

TSAlines are extra slow. Ensure you leave extra time to make it through.
The downstairs security line at the A/B concourse is way faster than upstairs!
Charging station in concourse A and not to mention they now have chipotle!
I agree with the clean bathrooms, but I've picked up my luggage at airports around the world in half the time I get it here. They are SLOW!! Carry on if you can.
If you have TSA Precheck, it doesn't matter. You have to go through regular. Annoying.
The Southwest concourse has a lot of great food places and reasonable
Cheaper flights but a pain to get to from DC. Fly out of DCA if you can.
David WileyJune 9, 2012Don't wear sandals if you want to sit down. There are mice EVETYWHERE living under the chairs. Staff refer to them all as their pets.
Southwest is so in tune with their customers. They have such great service for a low cost airline. Makes me not want to fly any other airline.
TSA has been pleasant this far. I've been flying back and forth from Chicago and haven't had any security issues!
Delta is on the D terminal so park in the far end of the parking garage
It's always better to try to book early flights... Less chances for delays/cancellations!
GrowlTigerJune 13, 2012There's a second security screening line for Terminals A/B downstairs by bag claim 1. Much shorter lines.
Potbellys out in C is fantastic. Quick and staff is always in a great mood.
