- informed by security the Diamond lane for experienced travelers only; will turn you away if you have a stroller.
- Apparently only two security stations and scanners are open on Sunday morning.
- Five guys has breakfast here! Awesome if you have a 6am flight and your husband makes you get there 2 hours early. :)

- Diamond security checkpoint downstairs in baggage claim (between carousels 8 and 10) often has shorter lines.
- Absolutely the worst airport in terms of assistance for the disabled. Planes load on the tarmac & even though your tickets say, days in advance, that there needs to be a ramp & not stairs, no ramp!
- Miss the people movers. Shorter walk in and out of them than the train, especially for Terminal C.

- Avoid if possible, especially if you have status. Premier line only begins after you wait 30 minutes in the general line. Clearly the people who planned the beltway work here as well.
- I'm sitting at Dulles at Gate A15. Would be nice to check in via the web when your phone has zero battery.
- Worst thing is having to take a train to the gates AFTER you go through security... never seen anywhere. Even premier access security lines are long. A1 to A5 take forever to reach.. and 4 escalators

- Virtually impossible to gauge how long the security queue is here, can't tell if design is great or poor
- Avoid United Airlines, enormous delays are their norm and they obviously couldn't care less. Very depressing after a long haul flight to face 2-3 hour delays on your connection.
- A 2013 report from CDC affirmed that the smoking rooms don't work. Smoke leaks out exposing staff an passengers to chronic low levels of secondhand smoke.
- United airlines may have 6000 flights a day but they have the oldest planes and the oldest crew. Fly Virgin.

- frank strongNovember 2, 2011Free WiFi by AT&T; it is a bit slow, but it works. Could not log into the "Dulles" network. Electrical outlet near gate 30.
- Dulles is far from DC - cabs are stupid expensive. Try the bus, Metro, and/or Washington Flyer. Way cheaper.
- Garage 1 parking is $10/day. Not sure how long this will last.
- There is a service animal relief area on the walkway between the C and D terminals.
- The LED lighting in gate c is a nice touch and easy on the eyes if u have a hangover.
