This airports customs area is worse than a 3rd world country. I have never seen anything more disorganized. Hundreds of people missed flights today needlessly because of it.
Absolutely the worst airport in terms of assistance for the disabled. Planes load on the tarmac & even though your tickets say, days in advance, that there needs to be a ramp & not stairs, no ramp!
Avoid if possible, especially if you have status. Premier line only begins after you wait 30 minutes in the general line. Clearly the people who planned the beltway work here as well.
Avoid United Airlines, enormous delays are their norm and they obviously couldn't care less. Very depressing after a long haul flight to face 2-3 hour delays on your connection.
NOT the airport to fly through if you are a QUADRIPLEGIC. And yet again, we sit on an empty plan waiting to be deboarded. #theseguysneedtogettheirdisabilityshittogether #careless #itsbeen30minutes
Worst thing is having to take a train to the gates AFTER you go through security... never seen anywhere. Even premier access security lines are long. A1 to A5 take forever to reach.. and 4 escalators
A 2013 report from CDC affirmed that the smoking rooms don't work. Smoke leaks out exposing staff an passengers to chronic low levels of secondhand smoke.
Don't rely on the PA in terminal A; be 'that guy' and stand by your gate when they announce 1k and global. Nearly stayed overnight because calling boarding 4 was too much work for the night crew.
United terminal becomes a zoo at about 2pm. All the international flights begin arriving, and ppl connect to domestic flights. Terminal way too small to handle the large amount of pax
