The nation's capital deserves a much nicer airport, terminal c & d are dumps.
Try either Vino Volo location for a pleasant glass of wine and break from the bustle.
Love the crab cake sandwich at Tidewater restaurant Terminal C.

TSA Pre-Check is UPSTAIRS in center on back wall behind ticket agents.

Stirling ScottSeptember 5, 2014Not a very fun airport...it sucks to get struck here, especially by baggage claim or the ticket counters. But I have successfully used this airport many times.
What a poor excuse for professional. Skeleton crew during a busy time. Would much rather go to Regean or Baltimore.
Check in early! They check International and domestic through one place.

Diamond security, opens just before 5 am- right by arrival gate 5. Quick through security.

Kal HouhouNovember 29, 2010Plan to arrive 2 hours at least prior to a domestic flight. Security lane in the early morning is a mess! A dozen of flights are scheduled at 8:17 am!
