This Lufthansa hub is quite big and features many terminals and concourses. Connection times may become critical for intercontinental flights. Excellent land services and shop & food choice.

They get rid of the gate A42 (A24-A40 area), converted it to a quiet relaxing area. If you are on long layover close to it, no one will bother your siesta time here at this area(except the PA).
Looking for a power source ? Head upstairs at Terminal B to Kuffler & Bucher. Ask nicely and they'll let you sit at the bar with a beer while you use their power behind the bar. 2x Recharge :-)
If you have a short layover you will probably miss the connecting flight. If it's Lufthansa they will sort you out efficiently and you'll have time for a hot dog and a €2 Nespresso from the automats.
You have only 30min of free Internet in FRA airport. If you Reset Network setings (on Iphone you have this option) and provide another e-mail u can have another 30 min :)... and so to infinity :)
Nice Termimal, check-in can be lengthy, allow enough time. Good bargains at Duty Free but beware; no shops or eateries past Security especially when traveling One World from E gates.
ClemensMarch 21, 2015The architects were surely big marathon fans: Every way takes as long as possible. Arriving by train and walking to checkin takes almost 15 minutes. Shopping possibilities however are sheer endless

Johannes von ScheidtDecember 11, 2019Well connected to the city, but there is quite a bit of walking involved here. Lounges are great and you have so many options for airlines and non-stop destinations here.
Whant to have a nice meal - go to Hausmann's, right in a centre of T1. Service may take a little longer in rush hour, food is always good, though.

20 minutes to the city centre by train from Terminal A, 30 from Terminal B. From terminal A take the train to Frankfurt HBF during your layover, it's a cool city!
There are several more comfortable seating opportunities. For example those at Gate B23. They are usually behind the boarding gate.

Think about getting wifi for free? In your dream! Give you access with complicated registration. With all advance technology they have, wifi for free is not one of them

If "B" border control counter and as well automatic passport lanes are crowded at the left hand side. Further lanes are at the right 👉
adyJuly 29, 2017There is a lot of walking to do when you need to transfer. Wear comfortable shoes and try not to have heavy carry-ons. Give yourself time to find your next gate and go through security.

. The perrenial shortage of jetways and all the "hard stands" of planes and the required shuttle busses is endlessly frustrating. choose a different airline and connect through a different hub.
