It’s massive and messy airport. Good food courts but very busy and difficult to find relaxing place if you have long layover.
There's a wide selection of food and duty free shops in the departure lounge. Wifi is also available.
A variety of shops , restaurants if you are lucky enough and your flight is not too early

Terminal B showers are up stairs near the restaurant's only 6 euro. Nice and clean for a refreshing shower.
Airport is much better than Heathrow or Charles De Gaulle. Just make sure you're aware of which terminals you arrive and depart.
When flying internationally - be prepared to be seated in a closed-off gate with no chance to get water or use restrooms. Do not to enter well in advance as you won't be able to leave it.

Not enough common area seating places for such a big airport, unless if you necessarily want to eat / drink & have a place in restaurants/cafes.Other than that, people packed in front of ring screens!

John BristolFebruary 25, 2017Be sure to know what terminal your plane departs from before you get here. The shuttle drivers do not know which airlines serve which terminal like they do in the US, for example.
Sheraton Frankfurt Airport HotelAugust 20, 2012Long waits between two flights? Book a dayuse room from 08:00 am until 06:00 pm at our hotel. We are just a few footsteps away, follow the signs for the long distance train station.
I like it as a connection airport. Really good setup for that.

Telekom gives 30 min free internet access - just enough for that urgent crisis mail on the pc
Everything is a long walk. Allow extra time at this airport. Automated self boarding at the gates speed things up
- An airport built up at the expense of passenger comfort. Changing planes here can easily take 1 hour of running around long passage ways. Not a viable hub for international journeys
Karen MeenanNovember 17, 2011That wine you bought at the duty free shop? It's gotta go into your checked luggage after customs. So, be sure you save some room in those bags. Otherwise, you'll be pouring it into 3oz containers.
