Try the hamfrites: Hot skinny fries tossed with rendered pork fat and seasoned with an appealingly salty dehydrated ham powder. The smoked tomatoaioli pairs better than the cheddarbeer sauce. Read more

I was worried that this Chicago mainstay would be tired after so many years, but it's still so, so good. It was easy for me to get a seat at the bar as a party of 1.
Interesting goat dishes, like goatcarpaccio. The pork shank was incredibly crispy yet tender, and goatcheesecake with pretzel crust were worth ordering again!
I love this place, and its definitely somewhere you need to go eat at when in Chicago. I recommend you to speak to your waiter and they can suggest the perfect dishes for you.
[Stephanie Izard's] deftly balanced flavors are wonderful to behold, but her true genius is the way she can get customers to try unusual foods, and love them. Read more
A lot of meat! Goat empanadas were alright, pork shank was amazing, pork face was mm alright wouldn't try again. The best of all was octopus salad. Really good.
Stephanie Izard's (only woman to have won Top Chef) Girl & the Goat is a dining experience not to be missed when visiting Chicago. Menu changes often but you can't go wrong w/ whatever you choose!
In an industrial space with burnt-cedar walls, Top Chef winner Stephanie Izard turns out nose-to-tail specialties, including fried pig face and kidneys stuffed with goatconfit.
Roasted cauliflowers are amazing! Note that fish, seafood, and meat items are smaller and more tasteful, while the veggies are larger and more filling.
The beet salad was fabulous! We also enjoyed the pork shank and the green beans. The plantaincake was kind of weird, I'd pass on that dessert next time.
Girl & the Goat is one of my top restaurants in Chicago! Prezel bread, cod cheeks, sugo, pork ribs and of course dessert = amazing! Wine selection is reasonable and not too pricey.
The dishes were good, but nothing wowed me off my feet. My favorite of our 8 dishes was the string beans. It’s the only dish that’s been on the menu since opening.
Great goat with lobster dish asking with the beans with cashews and to seal it done duck tongues... all washed down with some good ol Munster Gumballhead

Food was good, definitely worth the wait and struggle to get a reservation, but not your typical restaurant… More complex flavors and ingredients, the simple taste buds will not understand
For entertainment during your meal, ask to sit in the back by the kitchen (only seats 2) and watch the bustling preparation. Green beans, scallops and pig face were delicious!!
Delicious, fall off the bone tender pork shank. Green beans unique in a superior way with some sort of nutty/citrus brown sauce. Pistachio cake/three sisters cornmeal crust for dessert="party
I made a reservation may 1st for their first available date, today, July 22nd. 100% worth the wait. Green beans, halibut and pig face were unbelievable.
