They will drive your rental car with you in it straight to the terminal if you are running late. For free! Ask for Art and tip him for being so kind.- Easy to return your car and Pamela, the lady from the Lost and Found is awesome!

A good strategy for UPGRADES-- always book on lowest price category, ask for "smart decision" deal, this allows free discretionary upgrade....on shorter rentals offer to take all coverage for top upgr- Great staff, quick service, the shuttle from LAX (versus to LAX, which inevita my get a bigger in traffic).

Use the kiosks and interact with a remote customer service rep. The future is now!- If you upgrade, be sure you ask for unlimited mileage. I got a camaro for a good price, then got hammered on the mileage. You don't get unlimited mileage unless u haggle
- Give yourself extra time on the shuttle into LAX. Traffic will eat into it, especially if you are out of United, Terminal 7.

Crazy busy... But wide selection. Pre-book a specific premium car and go Gold for sure.
Generally like Hertz, but the new shuttle bus approach at LAX sucks. Picking up and dropping off on the same route is chaotic and slow, especially for us United passengers.
Brad Hefta-GaubFebruary 24, 2013For cheapest gas on way to drop off your rental car, go to Manchester Blvd. don't be sucked in to stations on Sepulvida or Lincoln which at $0.15/gal more!
If you're running late and ask nicely, they'll drive you to your terminal in your rental car! But ask nice!

Sometimes much cheaper to rent from the Hertz at the Hilton.. And you can still drop here!
