TSA Security is really means to work here, even shoes, belt, jacket have to remove and place into a tray

Decide to get here early for your flight, and then add about an hour to that and you're in business.

If you need to charge a device go down to the Alaska Air area (@ gates 64 & 65)... They have tables & chairs with numerous outlets
Come with plenty of time plenty of traffic jams in the airport. Give your self an additional hour to the standard time time before your departure. If you're taking a shuttle from rental. Give your self an additional 1.5 hours before departure.
If your AA departs from gate 52(any letter), be aware that you’ll need to take a bus to another mini terminal.
When you exit the terminal, be sure to inhale thy fresh air. A thousand cigarette smokers all congregated around the exits ... good times!

The Tom Bradley International Terminal is the best one!
If you are flying main cabin select & above on virgin America you automatically get priority access thru security - saves a lot of time

There is a tunnel that connects Terminal 6 to Terminal 5 that you can take and not have to exit security and be rescreened at one or the other.

Be happy and enjoy the flight. There are a bajillion other worse things you could be doing. Like digging ditches, being incarcerated or sitting in a boring meeting.
