- Honestly getting through immigration is pretty painless here. Lots of lanes opened during peak times.
- Do yourself a huge favor and buy a travel baggage scale. You don't want to be that person pulling underwear from your overstuffed bag or paying $100 for excess weight.
- Be careful with the curb side checking individuals from American, they will give you wrong information regarding bag and carry on suitcases to charge you extra, and the weights are swayed!!!
- MohammedAugust 23, 2017I really like this airport, service is really fast. You only need 5sec to get your boarding pass
- Miami Beach ChamberMay 4, 2018The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce represents the majority of the businesses that make up the economic engine in Miami Beach and our surrounding area. Read more

- LAN and TAM Airlines are the best for travel to South America - amazing wines, food and in flight entertainment on all classes for intl flights
- If you are in terminal D go to checkpoint 4 in terminal E it's less crowded and there is a hall back to terminal D, saved me some time.
- Erika RodriguezDecember 8, 2013Forget the soggy, pre-packaged wraps and bite-sized, overpriced salads... La Carreta is where it's at.
- Hilarie WilliamsJune 26, 2017TSA agents communicate effectively and help keep things moving along so you're not stuck on an unnecessarily long line.

- If you want to try the most authentic Cuban food in Miami, go to Havana Spice in Dadeland Mall (downtown kendall). www.havanaspicecafe.com
- Cannon SayersJanuary 10, 2015Awesome airport. I recommend going to the Loews in Miami if you are going.
- Take a picture of where you park so you can find your car easily after a long trip.
- Valet parking is $30 Daily in the garage! FLL valet is a little less and it’s at the doors to the entrance!
- Victor MenciaOctober 5, 2011Recommend the Ku-Va restaurant better then " La Carreta " the food is better there, and for the same price you get more on your plate. It's next to D20 and across from Wendy's
- Ask for directions--the signage makes no sense and you can easily walk in circles if you don't get some expert help from airport staff. #MIAisAwful
- This airport is always freezing. Other than that, I like the Admirals Club.

- Carolyn AustinMay 19, 2013If you are making an international connection make sure you leave yourself at least 2 hours in between flights. It is a huge and confusing airport.
- Mark WalpoleJuly 18, 2013Be prepared for a long hike to the taxi stand. There are several stands dotted around but only one is manned. If you go to unmanned stand the taxis will just shoot by.
- The road to return your rental car is a bit of a maze within MIA airport. Be patient and follow the signs for return rental car and eventually you will get to it
- It's kind of a metaphor for the city of Miami as a whole: busy, crowded, exotic people all around, growing too quick in a disorganized manner, more Spanish than English, and has a lot of potential.
- Eda ÇapaJune 5, 2016Well organized, big and entertaining. The rare spanish annoncement and signs are there.
- If you're traveling from the Caribbean, the baggage claim will take a while. #Travel light.
- Caroline MillerAugust 23, 2012Metrorail to airport from downtown was pretty good: convenient (big wheeled bag was fine, with escalators, no stairs) and cheap ($2!) -- but not fast. Just under an hour, from office door to terminal.
- Miami LimoJune 11, 2014When you travel to Miami airport, consider using Miami Limo Service. 305-414-1111.The transfer to Miami or Miami Beach is only $75 in Escalade. All included: Tips, Tolls, Airport Fees, Taxes.
- Farhana CannonMarch 28, 2012Make sure to get here 2 hrs a head of time. Everyone here is very slow and not accommodating. The security line is always long. I've never had a good experience here.
- Taxi to/from Mia Beach is a fixed rate of $32. Takes 10 minutes from SoBe, if no traffic. If on a budget, & have the time, the MIA Flyer (150 line) bus runs twice an hour, takes 45 minutes, $2.25.
- Get here early and hit up one of Cuban cafes for a cafecito and croqueta
- Please come three hours before your trip. With the COVID situation and all the paperwork it takes a long time.
- Yanette CarolinaJanuary 22, 2013To everyone bags are late and you have to wait little bit, so keep that in mind if you are taking a cab or someone is picking you up
- Use the sky train to get between gates or be prepared for a LONG walk (unless your gate numbers are close together of course).
- If you're planning on taking a cab, make sure you have cash. Even if you're lucky enough to find a cab with a credit card machine, the driver will tell you it's broken. #MiamiNeedsUber
- Don't fear the short layover, the sky rail is really efficient, albeit absolutely packed.
- Ramon MarcelNovember 3, 2011Wendy's on D-16 is great for a quick bite. Otherwise Island Chicken Grill has a fantastic Jerked Chicken Wings!!D-22
- Rafael ReedSeptember 15, 2014Huge place. Take into account that you would need to use the SkyTrain. It's free.
- Amol KSeptember 13, 201199% of the power outlets in the Delta H terminal don't work because they're looser than ... well, you can think of your own euphemism.
