- New baggage/security "regulation." only 2 containers/bags p/p. If you have 2 + your pillow or lunch- no matter the size- you could get stopped at security and forced to start over at airline counter.
- To avoid the Concourse D international security nightmare, take a stroll down to Concourse E. The line is shorter and the concourses connect behind security.
- Global Entry is a must. So big, so heavily trafficked and so many gate changes. Awful.
- Vinti BhatnagarNovember 19, 2011If you're looking for a fresh and delicious food selection go to icebox. The portobello panini was delicious!
- Don't go through the first AA concourse entrance, where only one scanning machine works and they pass every family with children ahead of you. Painful!
- Robert CohenFebruary 5, 2017If your a smoker/Vaper. Head to gate D36. Outdoor smoking area provided by TGI Friday!
- Jon AlfieldNovember 29, 2010If you're flying American, upgrade to 1st class if possible - the extra $$$ you spend for the ticket is made worth it by not having to pay for checked luggage... plus comfy seats & hot towels!
- George DodworthMarch 29, 2011When they blast you with the backscatter, tell them about your enormous and amazing c•ck and that others have to pay to see it. Tell them you'll send the invoice to TSA.
- Burger & Beer SobeApril 30, 2014Headed to South Beach? Drop in and have the #bestburgerintown! 1766 Bay Road from Sun-Thurs: 11:30am - 12am Fri & Sat: 11:30am-2am.

- Vashti JDecember 30, 2011Easy, accessible airport. Take off and landing = gorgeous views - make sure to get the window seat on your flight!
- René LePaulSeptember 23, 2014Huge airport. Not for the faint hearted walkers! The American Airlines Gate D is massive! Happy running!
- Do yourself a favor and sign up for a GOES Pass - You will always get TSA Pre and if flying abroad, upon your return you can avoid long lines at customs!
- Mohammed AlamerSeptember 21, 2017"I really like this airport, service is really fast. You only need 5sec to get your boarding pass"!
- Immigration at F pier for arrivals is being renovated (2012-2013), you will now enter at D. If you land at E, F or G hop on a shuttle cart! It is a long walk
- Very few vegan options. Super lame for a city that has many vegan options. Subway and Jamba Juice is basically it.
- Ashok ShettyFebruary 17, 2015Getting to MIA rentals is a long walk and a train journey. Do not be misled by the breadcrumbs and raise your expectation that it is just around the corner
- Even though the signs direct you up to the skytrain, it's often faster and more pleasant just to walk along the concourse.
- They have a display in 2019 of what not to bring to thru the airport. Be smart
- Kevin MacApril 11, 2015Missed connections going out are an issue so definitely book flights with enough time in between.
- Johanna SungMarch 21, 2016Budget AT LEAST 45 minutes to get through security, even for domestic flights. The lines are ridiculously long; everyone (domestic and foreign) travelers were marveling at how long they were
- Get ready for a healthy walk. Add 30 minutes to your plans. And forget about free WiFi
- Allot an extra 30 mins if you plan to pickup/return a car to take the MIA mover
- Esther te WinkelDecember 30, 2018Not the best AirPort I’ve ever been. Foodcourt right after security is just about it. A few tax-free shops, so not many things to kill the time. Staff at the foodcourt and shops seemed bored.
- Use the American Shuttle Service, it's cheap and fast! Pay accordingly to the zipcode you are goung to! And they accept Credit Cards!!
- Much easier to fly out of here on any other airline but American. Look for cafe verseille for great coffee and pastries.
- Lots of drug dogs lurking in the terminals.... You’ve been warned people.
- David GrilliAugust 16, 2013The most comfortable place to sit and rest or sleep for free is the lobby of the hotel located in Concourse E
- Huge airport, with a lot of food options. Keep in mind that most gates you will have to take a sky train to. Give yourself plenty of time and avoid going anywhere near the airport during rush hour!!!
- Its a large airport but if you use The skytrain it Will help. Lots of new and improve stores you wont get bored
- Tanesha S StewartJanuary 16, 2012Miami always has different rules than everyone else. Jerks always make me check bag. I need them 2get w/the program & realize that my bags r the perfect size. Never flying through this airport again
- MelvynaJuly 30, 2012Get there early because it takes some time to check in and go through security. The employees are in no rush to speed up the process.
- Laura SparksDecember 3, 2018It needs to be updated. The chairs are awful. There should be hours of operations for the coffee shop. I saw other signs stating the hours and they didn’t have one. Missed a purchase because of this.

- Damien SmithNovember 21, 2014I was in the military for 10 years and have been to a LOT of airports and this has got to be the dirtiest most outdated airport I've ever been to. I bet the Havana airport is in better condition.
- Matthew PounsettFebruary 3, 2011Be sure to opt out of the millimeter wave scanner for an enjoyable pat-down. Gentle cupping followed by a smooth stroke! Don't forget that the clothing optional service is extra.
- Amanda LongMarch 5, 2014If you are not a US citizen give yourself multiple hours for a layover coming into the country. The line for passport control was absurdly long! I bet many of those folks missed their connections!
- Welcome to Miami! Love eating and drinking?!? Then check out
www.ChatChow.tv to find the latest spots. - Twanda Carney DavisFebruary 15, 2022Unbelievably running over with rude individuals. Staff is helpful. Quick check in for us females
- Take the sky train. It's a train that will transport you through out concourse D. Or if you like you can walk the full concourse all 1.4 miles.
- This airport is not for the faint of heart, the disabled, or anyone running late. Expect a 20m wait minimum…regardless of your status, TSA Pre-Check, etc.
- You have to get to the gate early if you want to charge your device
