- Watch out for lousy drivers, heavy Port Authority Police presence, delays and every nightmare you can possibly find in an airport (including getting lost!)
- If you use Über, text your driver your EXACT location (terminal, level and door). The GPS on the locates everyone in Terminal B, level 1 by default.

- Come early security delays are annoying. To self park for over a day u must take a bus to ur terminal. Not like other airports where u park and walk in.
- Wish I could read these tips before I checked in. Friday before Xmas the line for security wrapped around to terminal B.
- This airport is compact, serves the world and is well-connected to Manhattan. The food vendors suck here, though, so don't come hungry. Cheap eats? Dunkin' has a shop in baggage claim, terminal C.

- Manhattan to Newark? Take the path trains for $1.75 to Penn stn NJ and either train or cab the rest of the way. Affordable and easy

- Rogelio RobledoFebruary 12, 2015It is a big airport comunicated by an airtrain. It is far from NYC. It looks old and has a not so good view. There is no place to leave your luggage for a short trip to the city.
- If you travel internationally and land at Newark or JFK a lot, you should seriously consider joining the government's Global Entry system and avoid the immigration lines. Well worth $100 for 5 years.
- Crowded concourses. Super sensitive metal detectors mean I somehow have to take my shoes off going through TSA Precheck, every time. Rude or disinterested staff are the norm everywhere you go here.
- Returning from an international flight at this airport will cause you to claim your checked luggage, check it again & go through security again. Plan time accordingly.
- Betsy B.March 28, 2013Off-site parking shuttles pick up & drop off @ TERM. C, not P4 as shown on signs. NJ Transit, use your ticket to get on AirTrain which takes to train station, which is not actually at the airport.

- Lyma HoweggDecember 11, 2013In terminal C, look on the floor in the carpeted areas for electrical outlets. They are black plastic circles and you have to slide a plastic piece back to expose the outlet.
- You can sit at the bar at "Le Grand Compt" in terminal C, have a beer and almost watch your plane board.
- Get your shoe shined by an African American to remind yourself of the slavery days

- Speed through security easier. Put phones, watches and change in carry on bag to be scanned. Reduce bin need to laptop and toiletries. Shoes directly on belt first. Fave parking is P4
- For arrivals, try to get a seat on the left side of the plane for views of Manhattan
- adrian cutlerDecember 18, 2010To get free wifi you can use the continental presidents club. It seems to be above McDonalds in terminal C. You can sit at gate 75 and still have strong connection.
