- Use the Acela Lounge if you have a first class ticket or Select Plus status. Much more civilized place to wait, especially if your train is delayed.
- Blame Amtrak for NJ Transit delays. They own the rails. They have the right of way.
- Don't be afraid of the homeless people in Penn station. Your much more likely to be accosted by drunken sport tards and douche bags
- I will kick you in the face if you kick my pull-along luggage. Just because you have to live in Jersey/never vacation doesn't mean you have the right to be a prick to travelers that need suitcases.

- Ronkonkoma trains are usually 18 or 19 don't wait where everyone else does go in by police booth and get a better seat
- This underground station with not a single spot with decent food or coffee is the worst. At least the re-vamp continues.
- Best pizza in the world is at Don Peppi next to Krispy Kreme!
- When in the bathroom stall stand in a paper bag the cops won't know two people are in a stall
- If you get the FREE red cap service you can go down to the train early. Plus they carry your luggage :)
- Escalator Etiquette 101: STAND on the right, WALK on the left!
- The chickpea restaurant is as healthy as it gets around here.

- Scout out an NJTransit ticketing machine early, because they seem to avoid you when you need a ticket most desperately.
- Late night arrivals can expect escalators aren't running and the line for the elevator can get long

- Taking Amtrak? Expect everything but the Acela to be late or delayed.

- Stand to the right, walk to the left on the escalators please!
- The Amtrak waiting area has free Wifi and electric outlets where the payphones used to be.
- Although they should be, tickets on the LIRR are not sold by your weight.
- Be prepared for the commuter stampede everytime a track is called.
