Excellent food that's reasonably priced for the general area. Albeit they had a packed house, the service was below average. All things considered, I greatly enjoyed it!!

If bartender Joe V. is working (usually at the Oyster Bar), he will take good care of you. In the dining room, Johnny is top-notch. And you can't beat the half-price oyster bar.

Now owned by Clydes with mostly the same menu. No cell service, whatsoever in this establishment. Yes, that includes your carrier. Great oysters and a fantastic happy hour. Kitchen open until 1am.

Waitress said its one of the oldest bar/saloons in the US. Extensive menu - didn't try the oysters but they looked good. My Guinness beef stew was solid and flavorful

I recommend the Canneloni di Campi (or Campo lol). It was DELICIOUS!! And so filling... Fast service, good hot food, and awesome servers.

It gets busy, so expect a wait. Worth it for a boozy Saturday lunch though. Don't settle for less than a booth.

The wait is much longer on the weekend. The lentil burger is excellent as is the beet salad. Good vegetarian options.

Ask the bartender to tell you about George. He's the presidential tailor since LBJ, and a regular (read: VERY regular) at Old Ebbitt Grill. Ask if he's around and get a photo w/ him.

Plan to get the Orca Platter Special! Available at the bar from 4-6pm or 11pm-1am. $99 for a 2-tier seafood feast! A whole lobster, jumbo shrimp, assorted raw oysters and clams.

Chesapeake Benedict isn't on the menu for Saturday brunch but they will make to order! Very yum.
