Old Ebbitt Grill is a piece of DC history. The food is uneven, but it's worth going to check out the scene. Make reservations to avoid a long wait.

It's popular with locals & tourists alike, but visitors may not know about the great happy hour @ Old Ebbitt. Go there b4 6 or after 11pm to enjoy half price oysters, steps away from the White House.

I used to go here back in the days but this last visit was not the best. The service was subpar and the food was really bland. I didn’t even finish my salmon because it was dry and tasteless.
