Not a lot of great food selections but you can grab a drink.
Lots of changes continuing to take place in A concourse, security access areas have changed, make sure you look for signage.

Nice small airport. Quick shuttle can take you between terminals and rental car pick up/drop off
I've started to make it a habit of getting to the airport with only 15 minutes until boarding for my weekly flights. Security is always quick. Hasn't failed me yet!
When it is slammed going through gates 23-34, you might not want to go in the priority line because they funnel one of the other lines into 1 tsa employee. Takes fucking forever.

One of the most beautiful airports in the country. Excited for the modernization project in progress.

They put these out front when you're waiting to be picked up because the government wants to send you a reminder of how much you're getting screwed
None of the terminals are connected beyond security (B/C is, but you have to walk down stairs and take a shuttle). So leave plenty of connection time.
Great airport. Very quick in and out. Not many options for sit down food but they are expanding in terminal C
Note to people ordering food at Custom Burgers, Boars Head and Tagliare, you have to use the iPads! Don’t stand there waiting for someone to take your order (like I did). Pay in the hall to the right.

Terminal D may have the best food selection from Chinese style steamed food to Five guys to Dunkin’ …
The pick up and drop off can be a hot mess, especially with all the ride shares.

Hit up Five Guys for a delicious bacon, egg, and cheese.. Or try the breakfast burrito from Cal Tor - best options in US Airways terminal for morning munchies.
Terminal C is actually two different terminals with the same name. They can get away with it though since there is a bus inside security to take you back and forth between the two.
Remember to check the FLIGHT SCREENS! !!!!!! gate changes do occur be smart. check only your luggage not your brain when traveling
Nice airport, love that the metro is connected! Lots of choices you eat.
You can spot any C list douchebag elected rep here peacocking that you like. My favorite is Mitch McConnell, he looks terrified amongst us peasants.

If you have Clear and TSA Pre, your time through security will be easy breezy!
Jennie ChanApril 7, 2014Cheapest place to get water in the AA concourse in Terminal B? Potbelly's. If you're paying more than 2.40 for a big bottle, you're getting ripped off more than you would anyways.
Shoe shines in Terminal A are some of the best around. If you have some extra time to kill this a great way to spend it!
I fly in and out of DCA whenever I can. There is little hassle if any for lines and it flows fairly nicely.
Eliza WeeksOctober 13, 2016The express food lines! Order anything you want and then pay for it at a self-service kiosk! It's a cool idea.
Make sure you come relaxed because if TSA doesn't piss you off all of the self centered selfish people here will. Lines lines lines and more lines.
TSA lines are always short and the flights are much more extensive than folks think. I have not used IAD in years.
Take the Metro from DC to the airport and save $10-15. When you get off the Metro, if you need to go to Terminal A, make sure you take the shuttle. Otherwise, it's literally like a half-mile away.
