- Umair ZiaSeptember 28, 2014The burritos are excellent, margaritas are super delicious. But the winner is the table hot sauces. So good & hot, that New Yorkers are running to the bathroom, while us Texans steal their food.
- KinoFebruary 1, 2015The special tacos (Los Chulos, non-classic) are loaded & sizeable, but taste-wise are lacking. It's great how they don't use tilapia for their Baja fish tacos y burritos. The Horchata is too pasty.
- Scarlett MorenoJune 15, 2017Delivery was fast. I ordered chocolate cake and agua de horachata. Both are delicious. This is the best horchata (beverage) I'm had in a very long time !! Thank you, Taco Chulo ! :)
- Ashley RoseNovember 29, 2015Per Thrillist: Nachos Chulos "As a constituent of the cheese sauce community, Taco Chulo’s namesake ‘chos pour on the orange cheese generously along with crema, pico de gallo, and fresh guacamole."
- Jesse BagelsJanuary 6, 2015The baja burrito was massive! Didn't have too much going in the flavor department but the table hot sauce added nice touches of habanero flavor and spice. Will definitely return for tacos!
- Mark SabecJanuary 14, 2014the tex mex burrito is so good i want to take it out back and get it pregnant. add potatos instead of rice. the closest NY burritogasm i've had since la taqueria in SF
- Jeremy ShatanNovember 5, 2013Great service (on a Tuesday, anyway) and great food. The flavors in my burrito were built from a variety of peppers and spices and the margarita and key lime pie were perfect.
- SukiAugust 7, 2017The best bang for your buck on guac you'll get anywhere. Large, strong margaritas with different flavors too.
- Manda ShettletonJanuary 4, 2016$5 margaritas before 7. And amazing nachos. Don't let the cafeteria vibe steer you away. It can be sorta cozy when it's candlelit at night.
- Chamel RobertsonJuly 14, 2018The Signature tacos are slightly bigger then the classic and really good. I also enjoy the Queso Fundido.
- One of my favorite places in the neighborhood! Try the puerco (taco or burrito) or the nachos chulos. Happy hour margaritas for $6 are also very good.
- sheaMarch 21, 2011The food is great all around, but brunch is my favorite. Jon, the bartender, makes the best micheladas in NYC, & try the 'vuelve a la vida'. If you don't want booze, go for the Mexican hot chocolate.
- Paul KardousJuly 14, 2015The tacos are unusually large and under filled and corn tortillas are $1 extra. The guacamole isn't freshly prepared. While it's fine if you're desperate for Mexicanish food, best to take a pass.
- Tanya RojasJune 28, 2015The chilaquiles and shrimp burrito were solid. Also, $9 for a giant mimosa, can't really complain about that. Definitely coming back.
- The best thing here is the brunch menu which they wisely serve every day, not just weekends. Great chilequilles and a good migas believe it or not (though they don't serve it with flour tortillas).
- Mission, Camarones, Hot Blonde and Baja tacos are delicious; the pimpmobiles tacos are about twice as big as the normal tacos.
- Jackson IsaacsonJune 10, 2015Killer nachos. You can share them and still be full. Margaritas are delicious and fresh.
- Lauren KentMay 31, 2012if you're feeling adventurous, try the taramind margarita. sure, it looks like poop water, but it's sour/sweet/salty/strong and sooo delicious.
- Just seven words: Key lime pie with tequila reduction sauce. If that's not bliss, then I don't know what is.
- Underrated. Unlike most East Coast spots, they offer refried beans in your burrito not just black vs. pinto.
- Chet ManciniNovember 15, 2015I like the tacos. They are expensive, but are larger than the typical size.
- Nicholas DoyleJanuary 30, 2013The tacos are massive, as are the burritos. One taco is completely filling, so order accordingly.
- SierraApril 23, 2013Their shrimp tacos are the bomb! Authentic California-tasting Mexican food. Yum.
- Mike! StupinDecember 5, 2014I don't eat meat but the nopilitos and Rajas burrito is are swell. Real swell on the real.
- When every other restaurants have 30-90 minute waits and you need to grab something quick, this place is not usually full.
- Brian DonovanMarch 13, 2011get the Chula Bowl, most bang for your buck I think. And make sure to try all the salsas.
- If you have the cojones get the durango and substitute the chipotle mayo for salsa chula.
- Bjorn L.August 31, 2015Boring not quite casual, not quite "nice" Mexican place from before Williamsburg had straight-up killer options like Cerveceria just a couple blocks away.
- Jennifer Jenncity ArroyoOctober 9, 2011Breakfast Tacos! Your sweety will love you for it.. Try it with the Vegan Sausage!
- An NYC burrito place with refried beans. Thank you Taco Chulo!
- Have the nachos classicos & a mission burrito and you be rolling out happily
