The $4 plate of fries is more than enough for 3 people. The $7 cheeseburger is perfect. Happy hour 2 for 1 beers/well drinks from 4-7pm make a trip even more worthwhile.
Alright, this is some absurdly crispyfried chicken. Also there might be crack in the nachos. Nab a booth in the front and hunker down for an awesome drunk meal.
My favorite bar. Period. Fried chicken is even better than Pies-N-Things. Yeah, I said it. If it's Friday night and I'm not out of town, I'll be here, feel free to say hi.
Black Betty's been reborn into this kitschy, nautical spot with four-star bar food. Per the Underground Gourmet, try the fried chicken - "among the best in town" - and the "adult cheese" sandwich. Read more
This nautical dive has some of the city’s best bar food, including a knockout cheeseburger with mayo and sliced half-sour pickles tucked beneath an amply salted LaFrieda patty. Read more
Cheap, good food and drinks BUT tables are kind of dirty and sticky. Its VERY hard to get a table. $20 card minimum for drinks. I like this place a lot when I can find a seat!
The weirdest restaurant in the city, order a boat drink and some fried chicken from the bar. Find a place to sit and wait (for a while) and work on your sugar hangover.
I recommend ending your night here by ordering their namesake drink, the commodore. Its so ridiculous in appearance and alcoholic content that you're guaranteed to leave with a smile
Get the fried chicken. Just get it. It is incredibly delicious, crispy, & juicy, and enough for 2 people to share, easy. The biscuits with honey butter that come with it are killer, too. Get it.
The fried chicken/biscuits are enough for two hungry or three snackie people and delicious as hell. The burger is not to be missed, wit' cheese!, and the fries are perfect.
Sip a million Commodores and eat the ridiculously good burger, fried chicken, and nachos. This place is so annoyingly hipster but the food never disappoints.
Kalen Kaminski and Astrid Chastka—the duo behind dye-happy line Upstate—swear by the fried chicken and frozen drinks. To read more about these two, head on over to ofakind.com.
