- Lauren SchommerDecember 29, 2012Great food and great service! Sit upstairs if you can for a great view.
- Greg WilcoxSeptember 17, 2013Service was lacking on our visit, seemed like it was more of a hangout spot for employees than a restaurant... But the pizza more than made up for it. Delicious. Sauce was rich and flavorful
- Andrea Bollman LeJeuneJune 16, 2012Asked an officer for a good pizza place. He recommended John's. Walked in n everyone ignored us. Finally got seated n our waiter was stoic/unfriendly. Hoping the food makes up for the list service.
- Matt MillerMarch 8, 2015The pizza of course. Also, the wait is almost never as long as they say and even if it were it would be worth it.
- Andrew WorobMarch 9, 2013Most pizza in NYC is pretty much the same, but I was impressed by John's. Every ingredient was fresh and it made for an outstanding pizza.
- Uncle JesseMarch 8, 2015Try the Traditional Pizza - Some of the best pizza I've had. I guess NYC pizza isn't overrated. (via @Foodspotting)
- Stephanie GareriSeptember 28, 2013Yummy pizza! Crust was perfectly done. Fast & friendly service. The ceiling is amazing...look up :)
- Joshua BatemanMay 27, 2015Their pizza is to die for and the ambiance is amazing. Such cool history in the building.
- Ben GOctober 8, 2012Garlic rolls are incredible. Texture of a crisp cinnamon roll, but cheese and garlic. Ask for extra marinara sauce.
- Stephanie CesearJuly 28, 2013Get the pizza - and you can't be seated until your entire party has arrived. Don't go during peak hours it's packed.
- Lesley CooperDecember 26, 2013Crazy crowded during Xmas break. You might want to choose an alternate time to visit, outside if normal dinner hours.
- Natasha BlairJanuary 14, 2011Has it all - great service, amazing atmosphere (old church) and incredible food. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu but you're here for the 'za!
- Steven DenisonOctober 6, 2015A definite must when I arrive in NYC. Always fast fresh and great service!
- Hugo GOctober 2, 2015Sorry, not too god pizza. Crust is ok, but very thick. Prosciutto was far from what expected, thick and salty, (probably not really prosciutto) and the pizza had garlic even though I didn't order it.
- EricaAugust 10, 2014To me, definitely not in the running for the best pizza in NY, but it is good for the area.
- Mike HoogendykDecember 4, 2013Really is the greatest pizza in NYC IMHO. Handicapped restroom is near front of restaurant, not the ones in the back.
- I love EVERYTHING about John's! The food, the history, the architecture 😄
- Stephanie P.November 20, 2013No happy hour here whatsoever. Awesome. Most pints are $6.25 - 8 bucks. That includes crap like Bud Light and Heineken.
- SharonFebruary 1, 2019Not particularly worth eating. I had to shake a ton of spices on top to make it palatable.
- Shanelle R.May 2, 2012This pizza place is HUGE inside. Perfect for large groups. Located right in the heart of the theater district.
- Go to this branch of John's Pizza for great brick oven pies -- the meatball is a favorite of mine -- and the space: it's a former Baptist temple with a great mural. Read more
- Melinda ChristieJuly 29, 2012The pizza bianca is the best white pizza I've had! Fantastic cheese and pepperoni pizza too!
- SaraOctober 27, 2012Great pizza, delicious wine, fantastic venue. But they don't sell pizza by the slice.
- SamJoe CorreaOctober 8, 2011The Sicilian wings are out of this world!!! Don't skimp and go for the full order. You won't regret it!!!
- Kathryn PhillipsJuly 14, 2014Excellent pizza, great atmosphere. Try the garlic rolls, they are amazing!
- Rodrigo GarridoMarch 4, 2015Before a Broadway show, grab a pizza at John's and enjoy one the best flavors in 44th st.
- IrmaZandl ZandlSlantMarch 24, 2016HUGE space. Food is good. Really good for big groups heading to the theatre.
- Melody EwingSeptember 7, 2010The pizzas are enormous. A small will yield 6 generously sized slices. If you're not in the mood for pizza, the eggplant parmesan is a tasty alternative.
- Dennis KintzerApril 13, 2013This place is BANGIN'! Great pizza...at a really great price! GOTTA try some 'za!
- Trish WalshOctober 25, 2012The moment you walk in the smell of pizza and watching the way the make it with the sauce on top.. Yummm..
- Rachel AlbaneseJanuary 2, 2012the "margarita" pizza is exactly the same as the regular cheese pizza except they add basil for an additional $6.00 !!
- Desiree ShumovichJuly 4, 2013This is the best pizza you will ever taste in your life so prepare yourself😍
- Osman Nas.September 6, 2014Both pizza and pasta were really good. The price/quality ratio is not disappointing
- Diana SalamehJanuary 26, 2011Actually the best pizza in NYC. Try the linguini with pesto sauce, and add chicken cutlet and sun dried tomatoes.
