Luison C. (SU1)April 30, 2013The wi-fi is kind of free, just have to give a name and a e-mail for have an hour free connection, but they don't check them. I just invented three of them and i got two hours connection
Niraj AlokJune 9, 2013Don't take the first capital connect train back to London. Less frequent and doesn't stop at London bridge sometimes. Southern to Victoria is more frequent and same time as Gatwick express.
Eat a s*itty toast at Jamie's Coffee and pay an amount like you had a full breakfast. Magic.
Visit TuscanyFebruary 1, 2011Did you know that there's a direct flight from Gatwick to Pisa in Tuscany?How about a vacation surrounded by the peaceful Tuscan hills and a glass of Chianti in your hand?- I am not a big fan of this airport. The layout is very inconvenient where you have to take a bus to go to the terminal. Afterwards, you need to go through security again if it is a connecting flight.

Münzevî AbApril 14, 2014If you are boarding at gate number 47-49, you need to make at least 15 mins walk to reach to the point. So , make sure you have extra time for it.
Not half bad considering London's airports reputations! The only issues with LGW is its distance from the city (1h30+ drive at peak hours) and the throngs of people at check-in and security.

Getting in to departures is now like going to Ikea! You have to walk through all of duty free to get there??
Allow 15 min to get to gates 100+ there's a coffee shop and newsagent there so don't rush to drink your coffee in main area Get it at the gates

Be warned. If you are being picked up by car make sure the driver parks in a carpark or you will get a ticket. Pick up is no longer allowed curb side. No signs but on website
Very large airport with good variety of shops. However on the International passport control you will have to queue for 15-20 minutes upon arrival.

I wish all those Railways-clerks at the entrance of the South Terminal an education, so they can apply for proper jobs and stop frustrate honest people.- Always feels messier then lhr but well organised and you can shop to your hearts content

Social MediaSeptember 26, 2012If travelling to Reigate area, ring Bexleyheath taxis. Very friendly and only about £10 there - half the price of South Terminal airport taxis.
The upstairs bit outside Eat in the North terminal is great for wiling away the wait and doing some people watching.

The £9 fixed rate cab fare from the Ramada Plaza Gatwick is great. Handy place to stay for early morning flights!

Ozgur TuncayApril 7, 2015Much smaller than Heathrow. Easy access to London and Brighton via train and bus. Take shuttle train to get to North terminal.
- Better than Heathrow for just getting to/from London. Good connections by train to London. You might save some money by taking the train to London Bridge instead of the Gatwick Express to Victoria.
New airport. Now it's incredibly harder get to Departures from the drop off point. It's level 2 (although the signs on the lift don't say so) and then follow the signs up and down for 20 minutes...

Rewan PartiJuly 7, 2015This airport is like a bus station. It doesnt seem like you are in an airport. The check in lines are huge, the lounges are decent. Use gatwick express form central london to get here.
Officially the worst free wifi sign-up and sign-in process in the world... You have to verify your email address to connect but to verify your email you need Internet.
Not as big as other London airports but that means it's a bit more relaxed.Well connected with trains from South terminal.
