- Great shopping, good range of food outlets... Some very long walks though
- A great selection of planes, and those gates man... Beautiful.

- South Terminal Duty Free twists and turns for what seems like a Km from security to departure gates. Blindfold little children or partners who get distracted by Calvin Kline perfumes.

- Don't forget that departing from the North Terminal adds about 30 mins to your check-in time, as you need to get a tram/shuttle from South Terminal.
- kiptripJanuary 20, 2017Duty free has all the branded counters - Chanel, Lancôme, La Mer, YSL. Great shopping here but Heathrow is still better. No Urban Decay products unfortunately.

- Trains also go to St.Pancras in little over half an hour and aren't even that expensive. Just make sure you get the faster connection.

- If you've got a contactless debit or credit card you can skip the train ticket queue and just tap into the barriers and out at your destination.
- Tim O'DonovanMarch 8, 2017Feels overcrowded, so many people packed into a relatively small terminal. Rather poor selection of eateries. That said traveling through, security checks, customs and baggage claim is pretty smooth
- Don't think south terminal has water fountains but north definitely does. Bring a reusable bottle with you;)

- The £9 fixed rate cab fare from the Ramada Plaza Gatwick is great. Handy place to stay for early morning flights!
- They are doing great work transforming this airport. I go through here a few times a year.

- bact'September 23, 2014Money exchange rate here is BAD. If you have debit/ATM card, you get better rate from cash machine in the city, looking for "Free Cash Withdrawal" sign. All train/bus ticket machines accept cards too.
- Be warned. If you are being picked up by car make sure the driver parks in a carpark or you will get a ticket. Pick up is no longer allowed curb side. No signs but on website
