- How to get over 2 hours of wifi for free: sign in first with chrome, then when the time is up, register again using ie, then again with mozilla, opera etc... you shall not have to pay any thing! Hehe
- Eat a s*itty toast at Jamie's Coffee and pay an amount like you had a full breakfast. Magic.
- If you're stuck in the airport, the Hampton Inn in the North Terminal has a pretty nice cafe....
- Good airport, but if you travel late at night, it would be difficult to find smth to eat :(
- Don't want to walk miles for a cigarette in the South Terminal? Go down the stairs by the easyJet ticket desk and you'll find a designated smoking area just outside.
- Allow 15 min to get to gates 100+ there's a coffee shop and newsagent there so don't rush to drink your coffee in main area Get it at the gates
- Free water fountain ⛲ at the entrance of the toilets near Harrods!
- Good at departures! Awful at arrivals - expect to be bussed from your plane, spend 20 minutes on travelators and shuttles to get to the under served, weekend closure hit, train station

- Flights arriving from the UK and Ireland can bypass immigration - look out for the dedicated bypass lane on the right hand side of the immigration hall
- Great place to catch a flight. I often find easyJet a pleasure to fly.

- The normal trains are significantly cheaper than the express ones that everyone is trying to sell you tickets for
- There are lots of great high street stores airside at south terminal, so be sure to bring some spending money!
- They revamped the security screening so it's actually pretty efficient now.
- Gatwick Exspress is a ripoff, buy a ticket for Southern Train + London Zones 1-6 for only 13£!! Buy it at the south terminal train station.

- Niraj AlokJune 9, 2013Don't take the first capital connect train back to London. Less frequent and doesn't stop at London bridge sometimes. Southern to Victoria is more frequent and same time as Gatwick express.

- Cafe Rouge in the South Terminal has windows overlooking the airfield...
- Officially the worst free wifi sign-up and sign-in process in the world... You have to verify your email address to connect but to verify your email you need Internet.
