Julia Garcia PrietoSeptember 15, 2013Security is more strict than in any other airport I have ever been (liquids, shoes, computers and what not) and it takes forever to go through so make sure you arrive in time!
Although a certain airline doesn't make it very clear, check "which" Düsseldorf you're flying to. Air Berlin does the main one. The other airline doesn't and also flys at -+ the same time! Careful!!

Debbie PintoJune 1, 2013I have never seen such a mess. It took me 40 min to go to the security because the queues are so badly organised. If you have a chance to choose another place to your outbound flight, do it!
DON'T fly into Stansted on a late Sunday flight. The customs queue is guaranteed to be longer than your European flight (esp if you're non-Eu/UK)

The Spar in the main terminal ... Cheap cheap beer and nibbles for either pre or post flight relaxation

There should be more of them!

Go to the right side @passport checkpoint , new self check fast and easy :)
Can't understand why more people don't use fast track security. Best 5er you'll ever spend.
Ivana MaksimovićOctober 15, 2016Too long queues for non EU citizens at passport control. Otherwise nice airport. There is good exchange office with many many currencies right after passport control.
Don't buy clear bags - they give them to you for free in the security line!

If you can fly from any other airport do so! This one is bad on so many levels. Avoid at all cost.
Keep an eye on your gate, for some of them you have to catch a little shuttle train. If you leave it too late you'll miss the flight.
