- Daniel O'FlahertyOctober 2, 2017Massive range of shops and eating places plus lots of places to sit and rest.
- Luisa BrookAugust 10, 2012Best to develop the patience of a saint before you arrive otherwise there's is danger of self combustion. Especially in Boots.
- Enis AksoyJuly 30, 2017Rynair staff is stupid here! They are slow and crazy! You can see Mustafa Kemal Atatürk words 'future is in the skies'
- Lancelot PatersonSeptember 18, 2013Train station will take you to Cambridge, Birmingham and beyond, but ticket sellers upstairs only interested in flogging Express (ha) to London. Go to station for best deals.
- Eirini KmNovember 13, 2017Very organized airport. But don't be late, it's big and you need up to 15mins to go to gates.
- I love Stansted airport .. easy in, easy out. Everything centralized in one place so there's no confusing different terminals and whatnot ...
- Crazy BobMarch 4, 2013(1) on the train platforms, you can easily log on to the free wi-fi of the Stansted Express trains, even when you're not travelling by train; (2) if you need them, buy liquids baggies at Boots (40p).
- Peter BaileyAugust 13, 2017If you walk towards gates there is way more seating - saves standing in the cramped area with shops
- Hardly London eh! Cheap flights, jump on the stanstead express train to get into the city
- Chris PhillipsAugust 22, 2016When trying to find your way in by car, avoid the drop-off lane! You'll be charged £3 to exit, even if you don't stop.
- SimoneJanuary 15, 2013Bring your own plastic bag and prepare them with your liquids/makeup/ stuff inside or you'll loose a lot of time at the security checks
- Lost&found and "left luggage" have been moved near the arrivals area (next to Burger King). They are no longer between check-in area G and H as indicated in the airport map and various signs! Beware!
- Sumeet KaeleyMay 21, 2023Your holidays start from the airport. Always crowded, decent range of duty free shops and eateries.
- William RobertsJuly 3, 2019The wait for passport control was the longest I have ever experienced! Consider fast track!
- Arrivals: don't wait in toilet lines before passport control. The queues are much shorter after. Also, if you're heading downtown by Stansted Express, just use their queue-free toilets at the platform
- Nadia VolNovember 29, 2015Passport control takes forever unless you have an e-passport. Plan accordingly your commute. Terravision is the cheapest connection to London,6£ online, shuttle departures out and on the right
- Nastja StaceyMay 17, 2015Very big airport, a lot of people, too crowded. Ti much stress because of the security control. Better to buy fast track at £3.5
- Quite big airport. Gates 40-50 are towards the opposite direction. Getting to the gate usually involves going down stairs.
- Susan MApril 19, 2013They have a Yo Sushi but that doesn't make up for how money-grabbing this airport has become since BAA sold it. Pity, used to be one of the good ones. Now it's on a par with Luton. :(
- Nice duty free area definitely come early to depart
- 4 hours free Wi-Fi internet. Free plastic bags before security. Good restaurants choice in food court ✈️
- Mark ClulowSeptember 28, 2015Arrive with LOTS of time to spare. They charge £3 just to drop people off now which results in a massive queue out front. Secondly, pay £5 for fast track security lane once inside to save an hour.
- Gate 58 is quite a walk. Give youself 10 mins for comfort and to avoid the slow moving walking road blocks. People! Be aware / considerate of those around you.
- Super busy super cheap. Have a pint in Wetherspoons any time of day.
- Łukasz TyrałaMarch 29, 2018Passengers area is like a IKEA store—you just have to pass all the duty free shops. This makes reaching gates more time consuming.
- Luba PolackovaJune 24, 2014You need at least hour and half to make connected flight. There is too many people at boarder control. Also, when you land, you have to go out of terminal and then go through security check again!
- Crammed with not enough seating, forced to walk through the shopping area, an airport that used to be ok and is now a tacky budget hub.
- Kirsty FossengenJuly 29, 2013Flying with Ryan air? Watch you don't shop too much as all shopping has to go into your hand luggage. Unlike other airports where you can take hand luggage and one bag of tax free shopping.
- Samuel CaddickAugust 10, 2014Starbucks is reliable, as is the noodle place. Much more after security than before it.
- Tatsu PLOctober 9, 2013Finally you can benefit from those new biometric passports and it saves you 10+ minutes in regular line
- Merve A.March 31, 2015Security checks take ages. There are M&S, a small shop and Costa before security check, and few restaurants near the gates.
- Lisa MiltenbergerApril 6, 2011Hassle free experience other than wearing many of my clothes to keep baggage wt down. The convenience type store is the cheapest place 4 beverages. Open 24 hrs.
- This is one of the most annoying airports ever.. A place where low cost airlines degrade you to a piece of luggage but at the same time will bully you into spending as much as possible on the site..
- Isa SierraSeptember 5, 2017Ever since they changed the layout, it's a complete chaos. Everything and anything is more important that the travellers comfort.
- Security can be very busy, sparse seating but loads of shops and restaurants
- Elsie MareeJune 21, 2016You need to leave a minimum of 45 mins from landing for getting from arrivals to the stanstead express. Even with just hand luggage it took nearly 40 mins at passport control!
- Jake SmithJanuary 4, 2015You can check into your flight using the automated kiosks - even if the departures board says for you to "wait".
- Tim RodieMarch 12, 2011Stansted Wetherspoon's (The Windmill - charming) sausage sandwiches are actually made of rare pork found only on Jupiter. Rare, hideously expensive and taste a little like asteroid.
- If you're going to park, book in advance - it's much cheaper!
- Pre-book only the Stansted Express tickets, they also come with a special offer if purchased in advance
- If you are picking up, check out the •free• one hour parking . The short stay are hugely expensive!
- SandrasticaAugust 22, 2014Really far from London, what you save in your flight, you spend it on the train!
- Kai BelowAugust 7, 2011The hand baggage weight check at the Ryanair terminal is quite entertaining. If you are early take a seat and observe for a while :)
- Attila GyörffyMay 30, 2012If you need to get to either Liverpool Street or Stratford, there's not only the National Express coach but Terravision too that tends to be cheaper.
- Dublin flights have a tendency to change from the normal Ryanair departure area - keep an eye on the boards before moving to gate. Don't assume ull make ur flight if u get it wrong - it's a long walk!
