Don't loose your boarding pass. With Ryanair you will not be able to fly. Reprint it at the computers next to WH Smith(only 40min before possible).don't ask staff they will not help you anyway
Over crowded airport. The ladies toilet is misplaced right next to arrival, it is dirty and not modern. Not suitable for elderly people or people with temper. Uncomfortable benches.
Laura ComanJune 13, 2014Avoid this airport if you can. So busy with no room to move or to find a seat. Speedy through security but the departures area needs way more room for the amount of people flooding through.
Simon HallAugust 28, 2010Water is an absolute rip off everywhere +£1.69 a bottle) but there's free drinking water taps by the toilets by gate 46 and in arrivals luggage collection hall. Avoid if u can, extra cost of flight is million times worthwhile.....

Don't buy the plastic bags for liquids. Security hand them out for free!
If you can fly from any other airport do so! This one is bad on so many levels. Avoid at all cost.- On passport check go to self checkout if you have biometric passport and save 30 minutes instead of standing in the queue!
Nightmare to get here if you want to use public transport from Surrey.
Tuba IslamOctober 13, 2011Be careful about the transit. It is not enough to pass the final security. You might need to take the train after that to go to the gate. Not good tonotice it last minute after a coffee at starbucks:)
Nothing good here. Arriving here from perfectly organised Oslo airport makes Stansted look the rundown hellhole it really actually is
Ryanair check-in/bag drop desk didn't open until 4am when we were there - had to sit around for an hour!
Don't buy clear bags - they give them to you for free in the security line!
Avoid parking in the 15 min car park unless you are happy to drive round every 10 mins or so... 45 mins parking just cost over £30
Costa for that drive home. Have a skinny flat white they're pretty good.
You'll suffer long queues after bank holdays. Just be patient and smile :-)

BeatrizMay 5, 2011Easyjet: Yeah, take your buggy/pram down to the plane but neither airport nor airline staff will help carrying it downstairs at the gate.
2 years ago it was like crap... Now it is a good airport but not near London... 8 pounds and 1 hour to get there...

"You can get shuttles here to the nearby hotels like the Premier Inn and the Holiday Inn. They tend to go every half hour. The to get to then you will have to go underground from the airport."
