Lots to do and see and free wifi - can be crowded so dont be late
Do your last minute souvenir shopping at HEMA. People will LOVE their smoked sausages and stroopwafels!
Airport has a lot of interesting places to kill time. Areas to sleep. Its a lot of walking though. And every thing there seems expensive / overpriced - don't believe the "Special Offer"!

Pretty big airport. Long trek to baggage claim if u are at the end!! Easy train ride to city.
Terminal D has a terrace with great views, perfect for aircraft spotting.
Pass from Albert Heijn Supermarket at the ground plaza, before security if you want to save some money on food before flight.
The bathrooms by baggage belt 11 are one of the nicest public bathrooms I've ever been in.
Never get a taxi! The train is the best option here. They're really good

tigz de palmaDecember 22, 2016not a particularly clean or modern airport. although the people in the security line, while patting me down & going through my bag were super-nice. which is pretty much the definition of dutch.
Busy place and usually loooong security queues. Use the priority lane on the very left side, save you easily 30min+

It's full of aeroplanes. They take you places quicker than walking. Depending on how fast you can walk. I can fly

Don't choose the "comfortclass to Amsterdam" trainticket option! It is 1st class and a rip off, follow the menu options and choose 2nd class
MACApril 5, 2023Fairly ok airport. Directions are clear for English-speaking tourists. Baggage took ages though, only 20 belts available. Multiple arrival flights sharing the same belt caused overcrowding.

easy to navigate around, free WIFI, pretty neat airport! no wonder they have over 50mil passengers a year
Centralized security system works very well here. You don’t have to go through multiple times.
