Despite its an old airport, the fastest procedure for customs, passports, check in of all airports.
Free wifi. If you are a frequent traveler I would highly recommend Privium.
You can request to opt-out from the advanced imaging scanner and receive a pat-down instead.

BE AWARE!! of people offering taxi services in the arrival hall, they will rip you off... in front of the airport there's the only official taxi pick up place it is safe and controlled.
Visit the pub in D wing if you aren't privileged enough to have access to a lounge
Not all trains go to Amsterdam Central Station. Read the info boards before you take the escalator down to the tracks, to avoid running around like crazy ;-)
Johan ThorfinnOctober 27, 2014Bagage handling is quick and reliable. Never lost a bag passing through Schiphol even with extremely short connections.
The somewhat verbally aggressive and self-entitled security people rummaging through your stuff are actually quite harmless :P
This is a very nice airport!! Just be careful with the people who pretend to be a taxis drivers but they are just people with regular cars trying to make some money.
Chair massage Back2Life, next to Rijksmuseum, is a great way to relax for 10–20 minutes.

Very chaotic airport with ambiguous navigation and huge queues.
Jenna W.July 18, 2016Waited for more than an hour to drop my bag. I don't know if that's normal here, but I travel a lot and that was the longest wait I've had. Security check was fast though.
Free 30 minute WiFi from KPN but the trick is that you can sign up twice to make it 1 hour. Graag gedaan!
New electronic gates for passport control for all EU passengers with chipped passports
KLM flights check-in and baggage drop all fully automated - went very smoothly and fast.- Find The Rainforest Café. Good, reasonably priced burgers.
