kate shitspatrick: The menu here is the bomb. David the head chef is really cool and the meat is fed a diet of organic beer and hand massaged everyday. Treat yourself here and get the beer martini!

Dina: Best Vietnamese food in NY right now. Pho Ga soup is worth the trip alone. Chef worked at Eleven Madison Park and trained with street food vendors in Vietnam. Exquisite comfort food, inexpensive.
Ramen Restaurant · Turtle Bay · 317 tips and reviews
Dina: Arguably ramen in NYC, both pork (black garlic is awesome) and surprisingly great veggie ramen. Sister restaurant of Totto Ramen on West side (same menu) but MUCH easier to get in. Great for lunch.
Ramen Restaurant · Turtle Bay · 317 tips and reviews
Dina: Best ramen in NYC. A sister restaurant (same menu) of the always mobbed Totto Ramen on the West side but MUCH easier to get into. Black garlic ramen is amazing and best vegetarian ramen I've tried.

Dina: A MUST. Heaven for oysters and absinthe lovers. Beautiful, vintage looking space. About 20 kinds of oysters, $1 options Mon-Thurs, 4-7pm. Great cocktails. A nice (expensive) menu of small plates.
Dina: Always busy, claustrophobic, awesome. Great food - only cold dishes, wonderful wine list and a fun vibe. Romesco soft egg is delicious as are the mussels escabeche. Come early, place fills up by 6pm.

Dina: Italian/Japanese fusion. Delicate, creative, umami-laced food for moderate prices. Small, cozy place. Need reservations. Crab and cod roe gnocci are mouthwatering. Potato gratin with uni is a must.

Tamara H: Possibly the loveliest cafe in Paris. Come for the aesthetic and coffee (non-dairy lattes! Rejoice!), but skip on the food, as it's a bit pricey.
Tamara H: In fall of 2008, I stopped at a mystery window for a late-night crepe. In 2013, I ended up at this same creperie after a friend recommended it. Thank god I found you again, Oroyona (the best!).

Tamara H: Please please get the lobster roll with brown butter vinaigrette. They steam the buns, so it's like a pork bun and a lobster had a baby. It's on the preemie side, so order biscuits, too.
Tamara H: Skip the chai and opt for coffee. Sit upstairs in the sunlight amidst professors and townsfolk, or venture to the sneaky seating area downstairs for some quiet time.
Priya Parker: This place is excellent. Try the carb-free pad Thai made out of papaya with vegetables and tofu, finish with the black sesame ice cream. Divine. Good service too.
