Take some chicken buns and fried yellowtail as apetizers, and the classic ramen Akamaru Modern with the pork supplement, it's awesome!

I've been to Ippudo 20x and finally had my first special, the szeshuan tan tan. Oh my. All other times: akamaru modern kikuni style with egg. Several kaidame. Always a winner. Oishi desu!

Excellent hip/upscale ramen place. Pork buns and the akamaru modern ramen were both fantastic, though needed extra sriracha.

HUGE wait for a table. My friends and I had to go to a nearby bar to kill time. But the warm bowls of happiness melted the cold we were experiencing (it was hailing). Heaven.

The food here is VERY VERY overhyped. There are a dozen better options in the area that are less expensive and taste better. Not to say the ramen here is bad, it’s fine, but it’s not worth a long wait

If you heard many people say its the best ramen in the city, believe it. It's amazing. The pork buns? Orgasmic.

Pork buns tasted great. Chicken wings were crunchy and sweet. Tan Tan ramen was silly and HOT

Beware to wait in a long line though sometimes it's a hit or miss. Try the KARAKA MEN with pork belly if you like spicy, otherwise get the Akamaru Modern.

Best ramen broth in the city, but be prepared to wait. Go early, put your name in for a specific time, and come back when you're ready to eat.

You cannot go wrong. Everyone will point you to the Akumaru Modern, but karaka-men or if available the wasabi-tonkatsu specials are incredible. Eat!

I think it's overrated: the bone broth is too heavy and over-seasoned. I must say the chicken and pork buns are delish. The chicken wings are WOW esp. paired with cabbage, it's a perfect marriage

Look, it's good ramen, but if you're not looking for a special night out, I recommend Menkui Tei down the road.

I've never been here, any day or time, when there hasn't been a 1-2 hour wait. But it's worth it. Go round the corner to central bar and wait it out. Buns, shishito peppers, sake and ramen. Nuff said

Try the goodbye rice (ocha zuke) for a little something extra, after a bowl of ramen soup. That's 3 logs of rice, dotted by sesame seeds and nori. Quite nice.

Skip shishito peppers this week. I had a bitter, soapy tasting batch, 7/12. When asked for an alternative, the manager called me "spiteful" & claimed they were "perfect." So much for my rave reviews.

Good Ramen. Still, it was very loud and it seems that you should hurry up so other guests could come in. Also you have to pay extra for the egg.

The chicken buns are also pretty great and a little bit different. Try the yuzu soda, it's a little like mountain dew but tastes like fruit rather than chemicals.
