- Dan FetznerApril 9, 2016It's hard to justify $25 on a burger, but the burger with Roquefort cheese was worth it. Comes with a huge mound of amazing shoestring fries, I wish I wasn't so hungover so I could've eaten more
- John BrianJune 18, 2015Everything at this place is amazing. If you're a fan of aged meat and blue cheese you HAVE to get their signature burger... Or try the gnocchi.
- Omar HarounJune 22, 2013The beets & greens are to die for. Deviled eggs & chicken liver toast also delicious. Come from 3 to 5 pm for limited wait (and limited menu but still lots to choose from)
- Time Out New YorkAugust 7, 2013Tangy Roquefort cheese highlights the mineral richness of the Pat LaFrieda mix (brisket, short rib, sirloin and chuck) in the hulking, char-grilled half-pounder. (Critics' Pick) Read more
- For your entree, get the crispy pork belly with vegetables & fried squash or the grilled skirt steak with lime vinaigrette, chilles, & crispy shallots! The burger also looks amazing!
- Anna RobertsOctober 1, 2015The chicken liver toast is insane. You must get the devil's on horseback, and the ricotta gnudi is like some sort of magical fluffy cheesy dream.
- Laura Del WarbieAugust 8, 2017That burger is something else- blue cheese, brioche bun and sting fries - definitely worth the wait.
- kmfisJune 23, 2013One of the best Gastropubs in the city. I recommend Butter Roasted Turnips, Chicken Liver Toast, Devils on Horseback (bacon-wrapped prunes) and Bronx Pale Ale.
- Beau LopezMay 2, 20149 dishes later ! Amazing ! Gnudi, carrots, deviled eggs, burger dish so yummy. Lemon tart and blood orange cake = too good! (Con: service is super bad, yucky)
- Julia ColosimoDecember 27, 2017I have a new standard for shoestring fries. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. Beets were delicious too. Expect a long wait. They do not take reservations. 🍔
- Magda KojJuly 23, 2014Love the Nightingale cocktail and the grilled skirt steak with béarnaise. The deviled eggs are delicious as well.
- Eloise EatonJune 30, 2017Great late night place. Friendly staff & good quality food. The chocolate cake was delicious. The rhubarb pie was good but the chocolate was better.
- 1st time? Yes, everyone will say gnudi and the burger. But after that, I rec the succotash, corn soup in the summer, crispy pig ears or cheeks if you're lucky- be specific when asking staff for recs
- Liz DJune 27, 2013The deviled eggs are heaven, but you really can't go wrong with anything. Great bespoke and menu cocktails.
- NataliaJanuary 29, 2013Not the veggie-friendliest restaurant in Manhattan, but vegetarians can find their way here: Gnudi was one of the best pasta dishes I ever had. And the banana toffee tart... indescribable!
- Roniel TesslerNovember 11, 2017Get the chicken liver, burger, Arctic char, broccoli chili parmesan, and creme Catalan 😋skip the pork shoulder and deviled eggs.
- Elliot WehnerJanuary 3, 2015The burger and shoestring fries are awesome. Also has a good Bloody Mary and a few solid cask beers
- UglyCookMarch 8, 2015I came here 2 years ago and possible was the best burger and fries ever. Went back this week and among other things, the bun was very dry.. It kind of ruined it for me...
- Craig VillamorApril 6, 2019Grilled cheese is pretty damn good. Pile o’ fries is good but hard to eat - do I use a fork or my hands? Both feel wrong.
- Thomas KnüwerJune 12, 2012Another little miracle by Mario Batali: excellent food (perhaps the best burger in Manhattan), relaxed atmosphere, great staff. If you have to wait: it's worth it!
- The TelegraphJuly 3, 2012For lunch head to the Spotted Pig (314 West 11th St, 001 212 620-0393, ₤25 a head) British chef April Bloomfield’s fabulous corner gastro-pub. Try the crispy pork belly with spring vegetables.
- The Corcoran GroupSeptember 19, 2011Once seated and you’re in the mood for something light, we’d have no qualms about just having the Roasted Beet Salad and a glass of white wine. Or....you can just get the burger.
- One of NYC's best restaurants, and their open till 2am! Burger, gnudi, everything here is fantastic. Truly Magical! -The Foodie Magician
- John Arthur BergFebruary 21, 2016Had the Crocque Madame, one of the day's specials. It was incredible. I would like to come back and test every item on the menu..
- Carolina LentijoMarch 16, 2016The burger was beautiful... But the service is what surprised me. Perhaps it was my waiter, but he was the nicest waiter I have encountered in New York!
- Chris WheatonOctober 13, 2011best burger i have ever had plus the pig ear and chicken liver toast are to die for... totally worth the 2 hour wait. next time i am in NYC i will no doubt be back!
- Munira AhmedNovember 20, 2011if you aren't a fan of blue cheese, ask for the burger to come without Roquefort.. they have no substitute cheese options but still a great burger! oh and the chicken liver toast is a MUST
- If you've never been have the burger. Otherwise try to explore the rest of the menu: gnudi, chicken liver, and deviled eggs are all amazing.
- MyerNovember 29, 2015It's all great! No, really, get whatever tickles your fancy and you won't be disappointed. Wash it all down with plenty of booze, go home and come back tomorrow :)
- Hasan MertJune 8, 2015Burger is one of the best in NYC. Gnudi is also really delicious. Ambiance is quite nice.
- Serious EatsMarch 8, 2013A destination for fantastic burgers and an awesome brunch. Expect a wait and a noisy dining room.
- RACHELISTASeptember 22, 2012The best chicken livers I have ever tasted. Ask your waiter for a lemon to squeeze a little on top. The bartender recommended it to us and it was amazing!
- Nick NickAugust 19, 2014Not only are the burgers great, the whole rest of the menu is filled with really amazing dishes!
- Can't have brunch here without getting a Bloody Mary. Get there just before 11 and you'll get a seat.
- Ingvild M. PlosivOctober 9, 2017The roasted pig belly with squash purée was so good we wanted to lick the plate.
- Mela MelSeptember 19, 2014The food is absolutely delicious but a bit heavy to digest afterwards due to the heavy seasoning and sauces used. The waiting time is also not great, but what can you do? It's a really small place..
- Morgan PolotanMarch 22, 2015The roasted beet salad was one of the best I've had. I also recommend the burrata and the skirt steak. Avoid the stringy fries.
- Yes you do need to order the burger with the Rosemary shoestring fries.
- Claire J SongJune 1, 2015Char-Grilled Burger, $21 Some say this dish earned the Pig its Michelin star. The short-rib-heavy half-pound patty stands up to its mantle of salty-creamy Roquefort.
- New York HabitatOctober 26, 2011This quaint little West Village gastropub is good for a casual lunch. If you're adventurous get the popular chicken liver toast, otherwise the burger and fries are mighty fine too.
- Kenneth KaasteskaftOctober 20, 2015Amazing place. Great kitchen, staff, location and atmosphere. The grilled cheese sandwich with a bottle of rosé and you're set
- Travel + LeisureJuly 30, 2012English chef April Bloomfield conjures the spirit of a rumpled, lively London gastropub in this cramped, cozy, altogether charming mess of a space in the far West Village.
- Kate FurmanAugust 17, 2015Start with the deviled eggs and get the burger! Comes with so many fries, no substitutions though.
- Carl-Adam ScheeleDecember 13, 2015Very good place, took gnudi, scallops and nut crumble - only thing is it was "too rich". But I like the place - will be more hungry next time. Don't order well done - takes forever
- Janet FisherSeptember 10, 2017Cubano sandwich with a Bloody Mary along with bottomless coffee and really cool staff made for a very enjoyable Sunday brunch!
- allisonJuly 5, 2015One part cozy, one part lazy, and one part romantic gastropub with delicious deviled eggs, pickles, and shoestring french fries.
- Alexander KuzminApril 3, 2015Spotted. It's a trendy place in a trendy location. Crowdy, dark, good food and selection of beers on tap. All you like about NYC gastropubs.
- Lydia VanWormerJanuary 13, 2016Deviled eggs and Devils on Horseback (bacon wrapped dates) were both delicious and worth the trip & wait. Everything else, however, was not impressive. Including the snobby host.
- Nathalie ElyseOctober 25, 2012Definitely try the deviled egg and the burger everyone is posting about. They are both amazing. The gnudi is tasty but a nothing special. I would try sometheing else on the menu over the gnudi.
