LIRR to Jamaica Airtrain is a breeze. From Atlantic Terminal it's $6.25 off-peak and takes 15 minutes to arrive at Airtrain. $11.25 total including off peak and Airtrain price. Worth it.

Somewhat efficient airport given its size. Long customs lines can be nightmarish if you’re a foreigner. JetBlue terminal has a nice layout and decent food options. Convenient access through Air Train.

The queues before heading through the security searches can quite often be a bit intimidating and time consuming. Leave plenty time for this major obstacle.

Terminal 5 has great food options. Get sushi to go, I usually get a spicy crunchy salmon roll (off menu.)

Not as bad as I'd heard it made out to be. Got through security fairly quickly and hassle free and a decent range of restaurants and shops on the other side.

Have a couple of hours to kill and don't have a ticket to go past security? Well, choose between free wifi (T4&5) OR a food court (T1). Both in the same place would have been too convenient, I guess.

To get to anywhere near 14th St., including the East Village and Union Square, take the AirTrain to Howard Beach, A to Broadway Junction, then L to Manhattan.

Love the new American terminal. Be careful to get to the gate ten minutes before takeoff. I didn't do that today and added many hours to an already long day

The airtrain is expensive but worth it, dont forget to look up your airline on the terminals list. The 'international' or 'domestic flights' terminal rule does not apply to all airlines

Check out the outdoor roof deck (really a patio). The Relaxation Room is nice but the lounge chairs don't recline yet they look like they should. That's the only negative.

Free wifi is only up to 30min. Terminal 8 AA bag drop off has long lines but they move quickly. Security was fine. Below average food options at T8 – McDonalds or Aunt Annie's are your best choices.

To understand mankind we have to look at that word itself. MANKIND. Basically, it's made up of two separate words "mank" and "ind." What do these mean? It's a mystery and that's why so is mankind.
