- If Shake Shack is on your itinerary, consider avoiding the queues and eating at their terminal 4 outpost!
- Terminal 8 has a Cibo- great place to stock up on healthy food (like sugarsnap peas, hummus, watermelon, soba noodles...) before a log flight.
- I'm not sure why do we have to do our finger prints twice, one at the kiosk, another at the officer desk
- All82November 24, 2013On Sunday , recommend you to get a taxi from downtown , fast and comfortable . No train , no way !
- When boarding your flight to Europe, buy a couple bottles at duty free! Then be sneaky and drink them on the plane...it helps pass the time!
- I was told that this is one of the newer airports. Not many seating areas at the departure area. Most secure airport I've ever been with so much scanning that took longer than 20 minutes.
- Zylan AlvarezNovember 30, 2018Love how efficient this airport is, It literally has everything!!! 👏🏻👌🏻🙌🏻😍😌

- Forced to backtrack thru security lineups to get to the subway, carry luggage up & down stairs, walk a mile to reach the arrivals lobby... If there were some customer experience metric, JFK's an F--.
- While Delta's terminal 2 is kind of crummy, their Skyclub is surprisingly large and nice.
- Avoid private hire car drivers lingering near Taxi stands. Can cost almost twice as much, and the Taxi stand line moves pretty fast.
- A $5 Smart Carte rental can be used as a plow to dig your car out of the snow in long term parking.
- Snooty WaiterSeptember 10, 2013While you're waiting for them to call Zone 2, friend SNooty Waiter here or Facebook and find out where to eat when you get to your destination.
- Solomon BoukaiAugust 18, 2014Try to enroll yourself in TSA Pre Check. I have it and on my last flight, security took my just under 10 minutes while all the other security lines were packed.
- BingJanuary 17, 2012Hey there jet-setter. Check to see if you’ll need an umbrella at your next destination with Bing Weather:
http://binged.it/zcYUh3 - They now have not only opened gates B42-55 & have a bus To C Gates ... Term 2
- Crazy airport but your best bet to find a cheap flight to pretty much anywhere in the world
- Concrete jungle where dreams are made of. Dream big. You can.
- $7.25 is still the best price to get into manhattan. Take the train. Ur in the best transit hub in the states.
- NYC PrideNovember 29, 2011With a terminal expansion set to finish up in 2013, your Delta travels will be first-class when coming through JFK...even if you're flying coach.
- Probably the best experience I've ever had with JFK just now here at air France. No lines, everyone beyond friendly. I almost forgot I was in ny.
- José DavidJune 28, 2016Busy airport with a REALLY disrespectful and diminishing airport staff (not the TSA but the own airport staff in charge if managing crowds).
- Republican National ConventionJuly 20, 2012Incumbent President George W. Bush was re-nominated at the 38th Republican presidential nominating convention held August 30-September 2, 2004 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
- The traffic seems bad, but it is actually possible to be dropped off and picked up without too much hassle. Once you're in it's a nice airport!
- Pete SchiebelFebruary 11, 2018Small kids zone at the end of gates in Terminal 5. Enough to keep them occupied, thanks JetBlue
- For rush hour, take the AirTran to Jamaica for the LIRR to Penn Station. It's only ~$11 rather than a $65 cab. Takes about 25mins compared to an hour in a cab.
- Enoc SanchezJune 19, 2013Whenever you are going to pick up family tell them to wait by departures, NOT arrivals. In arrivals they always move you and you don't get a chance to wait, in departures they don't move you
- Scott HendersonNovember 22, 2011If near Gate 20-23, the Todd English Bonfire is an excellent place to eat. Go to the bar at Gate 23 if sit down area full.
- SamsoniteMay 3, 2011JFK offers luggage storage for those interested in spending some time sight-seeing! Bags can be stored for a small fee at either of these two locations: Terminal 1 Arrivals or Terminal 4 Arrivals.
- Great airport but if you don't live near it, it's terrible getting too and from.

- BSeptember 29, 2019My least favorite airport. We had a connecting flight here and after going thru security at BWI we had to go thru security again at terminal 1. We almost missed our flight because of this.
- When arriving on an int'l flight (T1) & have TSA-PRE, do NOT follow the signs for a connection. TSA does not staff TSA-PRE at that connection area. Take the train to your terminal instead.
- T4 is the best because there are two shake shacks past security.

- If you forget to mail your rent check before you get on a plane, Harmony (near gate 6) has a mail drop & cute cards! :)
