No good free WIFI. Got connected to BOINGO for a free 30min but got disconnected after a few seconds and when I was able to access it again, it said my minutes are over.

If you enjoy growing old, check your bag on a delta flight to JFK. The new terminal 4 allows you to grow old waiting for your bag hours after the plane lands.
If your commuting, try to leave 4 hours earlier when you have a very early flight because 1:MTA subways do not run normally 2:Usually Airtrains do not run early in the morning. 3: Slow Shuttle buses!!
Don't get so happy when your plane lands earlier than scheduled. Customs doesn't open until 1PM so you have to wait on the plane until they finish their lunch
If you're stuck over night, they will kick you out of all terminals except 1 and 4. If you get hungry or thirsty head over to terminal 5 for some Dunkin doughnuts.
If not TSA Pre-check leave plenty of time. It's a busy international airport and wait times are unpredictable. Plan on 45 minutes to an hour through security.
