When the people at security tell you your airline will come to the line and make sure you won't miss your flight, They are totally lying. Waiting now for the next flight with 9 other people... Fml
Order a car. The taxi line at JFK is unbearable.
No good free WIFI. Got connected to BOINGO for a free 30min but got disconnected after a few seconds and when I was able to access it again, it said my minutes are over.

Use your goofy oversized headphones from the airplane as earmuffs because it's damn cold out and your ride is undoubtedly stuck in traffic.. Welcome to N Y!
If you enjoy growing old, check your bag on a delta flight to JFK. The new terminal 4 allows you to grow old waiting for your bag hours after the plane lands.
Gate Agents here are like animals you accidentally stumble upon in the wild -USE CAUTION!!!
If your commuting, try to leave 4 hours earlier when you have a very early flight because 1:MTA subways do not run normally 2:Usually Airtrains do not run early in the morning. 3: Slow Shuttle buses!!

Security in and out bound takes ages, be prepared and give yourself extra time.
If you have an extra hour before your flight, consider grabbing a massage
There are 2 shake shacks by the delta gates in T4. Don't get food from anywhere else.- Don't get so happy when your plane lands earlier than scheduled. Customs doesn't open until 1PM so you have to wait on the plane until they finish their lunch
It's pretty good for getting to and from new York.

Make sure to arrive with plenty of travel time! I always arrive at least 2 hours prior to departure because the security check points are AWFUL!

If you're in T5, hit up Illy near Gate 10... it beats Dunkin' Donuts by serving Italian coffee, not that East Coast mule piss.
The terminals are to long but food options great
Heading to Manhattan? Take the Airporter shuttle service to Penn Station or Grand Central for $16 and get there in an hour
Pays to have TSA. It's not always open but today it worked great!!

If not TSA Pre-check leave plenty of time. It's a busy international airport and wait times are unpredictable. Plan on 45 minutes to an hour through security.
Checking baggage at Terminal 7? Do it outside and your ready roll!
flyin virgin? if you've got some time, hit the restaurants (read: bars) before security... (there's nothin but peete's and newsstands til 11am at the gates!
