- This place can be chaotic.. When leaving and getting transportation make sure you go to a cab stand there will be people trying to solicit you.
- If you miss a flight, get on standby for the next one then rush through security to the gate for your original flight. If there's a delay, they may be able to get you back on.
- U need to have the broccoli soup at al du po nect to gate 33 on terminal 8 is amazing
- Bennett BontaJuly 21, 2012Bring a pillow and a news paper to sit on if you're doing a super early flight, security is closed from 12 to 3am so you'll be waiting on the floor till they open. Fml.
- You must arrived early if your flight leaves in between 4 pm and 8 pm international rush hour
- Delta's terminal 4 is one impressive place. TSA agents here are not the friendliest though.
- Terminal 4 finally has some decent eats--Marcus Samuelson, BWW, Shake Shack, BBQ, etc.
- If you forget to mail your rent check before you get on a plane, Harmony (near gate 6) has a mail drop & cute cards! :)
- The dinner outside the arrivals of Terminal 4 is just Magical!
- The walk from the gates in terminal 4 to the baggage/exit takes forever. Make sure you allow at least an extra 10 mins for the walk.
- Chris SnyderJuly 12, 2013Use the LIRR/Airtrain combo to get to JFK if you're coming from Manhattan. Cheap, fast, and stress-free!
- If you're in terminal 4, take the elevator down to arrivals (1) for much shorter security lines. Clutch!
- Yayan LiuFebruary 15, 2013Airport shuttle to grand central is never on time. Got on 630 ride at 7:17. Don't understand why we had to wait outside when coordinator had a walkie talkie and can tell when bus is actually coming
- There are designated areas around the airport that will exchange air travel for money. Just pay with cash or credit card and you can sit in a flying chair for up to 14 hours.
- While you wait here's a fun trick. Say the words "How big are they" like you have down syndrome and it sounds like "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"
- Most jet blue flights. Best airport for food. Best fares on airlines u want to fly on.
- Rami IsmailJune 4, 2016Airport that can be great or horrible. Global Entry at this airport can help a lot despite the passenger arrival computers, as luggage handling tends to be fast.

- Security lines can be a pain. The lounges cannot be compared to the ones in Europe. Though the airport is well organized.
- Leave enough time to get here and through security. You never know what is awaiting you.
- Jeff PittsNovember 12, 2010Don't take a cab call carmel car service, its a nice towncar we excellent service.. Its cheaper or about the same.. 40 bucks to the city and you won't have to wait or smell your driver 212 666 6666
- If you are traveling rush hour into Manhattan - take the airtrain to LIRR (jamaica) - 25 min transit. Late night,depending on taxi line - take cab. If you're headed downtown, take Williamsburg bridge
- May seem intimidating but look for the JFK customer service employees in ties and blazers-- extremely helpful!

- They are trying a new TSA precheck system at the Delta terminal and it's quite slow. Allow for extra time if you are there.
- It's not my top local choice, but worth it if the carrier and fare are right.
- Caution: Soft cheese is considered "dangerous" in your carry–on baggage by TSA. Be sure to get a phone number when felt up by TSA - best foreplay ever!

- Verônica RodriguesJanuary 9, 2017Unorganized. Hard to find staff to get info and even harder if you're flighting American airlines. Give yourself at least 2.5 hours before your fight and pray to not have it delayed and/or cancelled!
- There's a MasterCard lounge in Terminal 8 that has free wifi and power - as long as you have a MasterCard, that is.
- Multiple Shake Shacks in T4, and a Blue Smoke as well!
